Monster.

Had weetabix in a bowl today, no need for a knife, a plate or a chopping board

Do you have sugar on them, though? That’s the biggest source of disagreement in our house. Russell uses cereal as a carrier for sugar whereas I can’t bear to think of sugar on cereal.
No point in having cereal unless you can chew the leftover milk at the end. Mmmm...syrupy
I do indeed put sugar on, I'd like not to, but nothing else really substitutes for it, and yes the sugary milk at the end is very nice.
Do you cut your milk on a board or directly in the bowl?

for zardoz
As a child I used to cake my cereal in sugar, but the thought of it now turns my stomach

........... spreadable butter applied with non-sharp knife (we invested in a set of butter knives a couple of years ago. I was sceptical, but they're really good), cheese cut on top of it's own plastic packet (yep, I often do that too)
We've had homophobia, racism, and flat-out abuse.

This may be the thread that causes Beex to end.
I recommend using a serrated knife for cutting tomatoes. It’s a little known fact that the design of the blade helps cut the skin more easily to achieve a better and cleaner cut, particularly compared to a blunt knife.
You're a little known fact

We must be adult about this and accept diversity as a good thing.

I solve the sugar on cereal problem by having eggs for breakfast every day.

Fried on plate in the microwave if this thread is any indication

You're actually not far wrong :DD I poach them in the microwave in hot water - only takes about 50 seconds.

Like Malc, you presumably put the microwave in hot water?
I have serrated slices of microwave boiled in milk cubes.

plastic plates...
I've got kds, so we have plastic plates in the plate cupboard, I'll sometimes use them  (not for chopping though)
3 plates for one sandwich. Madness! Madness I say!

No, that would be ridiculous

One and a half!
Two. One is just smaller than the other.
I count three sandwiches. If your knife is sharp enough you could have infinite sandwiches.
That's interesting. When I say I'm having a sandwich, I have two rounds of bread. I'm not sure what I'd be having if I had three rounds of bread. Two sandwiches? A sandwich and a half? I dunno...
Nah, 2 slices of bread = 1 sandwich. Cut it in half and it's still 1 sandwich.

If I make a cake and cut it in half, I don't have 2 cakes, I have one cake cut in half. Same with sandwiches imo.

Bread isn't round unless it's a bagel

How good are cheese and tomato sandwiches though. A classic combination.

Yes, but where the tomatoes are actually crisps.

I don't think I've ever eaten one. Not a fan of tomatoes in sandwiches. Always have a BL because I believe the T makes the bread soggy.
I have mixed feelings about tomatoes. I enjoy the taste and texture, but I can't eat them in a sandwich or burger. If I get a burger with tomato, I will remove said vegetable fruit and eat it separately.
Cheese and onion and strawberry jam is a true classic.

Jam!!
It's just like chutney really, innit.

Wait. Flavoured crisps or some Cathedral City with some sliced onion rings on top?

Because if the latter…

Gotta mitigate. The lettuce has to be between the tomato and the bread and you have to eat it soon after preparation.

yes - I was about to suggest the correct BLT is actually a BTL.

But really the correct BLT is a Bbr.
Bacon bacon radish?
Bacon, brown and red.

Don't knock it til you've tried it.

Cheddar and red pepper is another great sandwich.

(For someone who doesn't really like cheese, it's a bit weird that some of my top sandwiches contain cheese :DD )
Cheddar red pepper sounds good.
