Awesome, my favourite dress code.
Unrelated to that post, we may be on a little after 8pm :)
I'll be there in 5
I'm hoping to get on but the kids are still up and the house is a mess so I may just pop on later to say hi.
Thanks guys. Fun night, well needed. Close quiz finish!
Consistent results in these quizzes prove that my Cottage Quiz team mates are crisis actors in the pocket of Crooked Curio.
Excellent quiz. Can I steal it?
Fun times and excellent quiz, Kern! Though I did not cover myself in glory, much fun was had.

Now back to Star Trek: The Next Generation comfort food in my grand rewatch. (Jesus Christ seasons 1 and half of 2 are mostly a slog though.)
Code of Honor. The nadir of the series
No arguments there... that episode's so offensively cringingly wrong there's almost moments of hilarity. Just finished Unnatural Selection, a Pulaski heavy episode, which like most of Season 2 has a mix of promising moments and writing so bad it's hard to believe it came out of multiple drafts.

Happily Matter of Honour is next, the one where Riker goes on work-experience on a Klingon warship, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be exactly as excellent as I remember.
Also Colm Meany when he gets to do something other than push about imaginary sliders and raise his eyebrows is quiely God-tier.

Colm Meany is Chief O' Brian in everything we see.

Alpha Papa? Chief O' Brian

Layer Cake? Chief O' Brian

etc
And I'm happy with that. I always imagine that when he walks off screen in whatever film he's in he retreats to a small room and just stands there, for hours at and end, patiently, staring into the middle distance. Just like in Star Trek!
Great stuff, cheers Kern. Proper kicking myself for not getting some of those.
Thanks everyone! Glad you enjoyed it, and congrats to DavPaz!

Round 1: In the beginning ... (opening lines)
Round 2: I go to extremes! (biggest/shortest/highest/longest/etc)
Round 3: The BeeX Expanded Universe (BeeX and things related to it)
Round 4: Scandal! (Scandals)
Round 5: Bits and Bobs (General knowledge)

Stats below:
Just as well I hadn't planned for a tie-break.
i want to thank Gaz for the Batman Begins fact.
Round 5 killed me, not only because I didn't know any of the answers, but didn't understand most of the questions. Not that it made any difference to my position in the rankings.
Doing it all again tomorrow - this time with Malc's quiz!
Looking forward to it!

Hopefully DavPaz will be back with his sexy banana. ;)
That's my thursday night show ;)
I don't know if I can face the humiliation one more time.
I will be there, for more bottom of the table action (unless again saved by politics, or something else I seem to know too much about).
Details in the Members' Forum. Should be on from 19:45.
See you all later.

I thought you'd posted in the craft thread for a second there! :D

I shall be there tonight, hopefully with Joans too.
Flamingos are in this year.
Ah, you've seen BigOne's AC tent.
Wait for me.. Just getting the kids to bed.
Just putting kids to bed also. Should hopefully be there for 8.
Can't work quiz fun t'night, sadly, but am up for fun next week. Xx
Another great quiz... Thanks for sorting it Malc!

See you all next week!
I'm going to have to get a bigger drawer for my wooden spoons.
Thanks all! I'll drink more heavily next week. Give you all a chance ;)

You should write the quiz!
Great stuff again this evening - I'd best get my writing cap on!
Is this your second quiz Gazchap? I don't mind writing one if we wanted to go around again? I've got one I can reuse bits from anyway if you get stuck.

Thanks, Malc. Really enjoyed it.
Totally excellent, Malc, and all. I realised that this is the first time for at least a week that I've said more than "Hello" or "How do?" to anyone not in their 70s, and it has cheered me up (and I was fine, honest) immensely.
Brilliant Malc, i am stealing your first round

It would be, yeah - I don't mind doing another one, but if you want to go again before me that's fine too.

Or I could do this next one and you do one the week after??
Thanks guys, really enjoyed setting it and hosting it (apart from attempting to steal 20 of Dave's points, and forgetting to ask for the points a couple of times!). Looking forward to next week, whomever ends up hosting it!
