BeeX Virtual Meet & Quiz

Thank you all for being good sports with some of my dodgy questions! Well done to Malc!
I really enjoyed that... Tuesday nights are quickly becoming a highlight of my week! Thanks for being so excellent everyone.
That was great fun, thanks! We especially loved round 0.
Yep, I've sent round zero to a few friends to try and figure out. Then I remembered that they'll never get number 2!
Great fun Gaz and Jem. Thanks for running it.

I'm ok with later start times if people prefer that
That was great fun, and was fab to see you all..

I'll be honest, we probably wouldn't be able to make much later as our brains are fried by 10pm normally. But feel free to try different start times to see if different people are able to join, by all means; it would be good for those who are otherwise unable to attend.
Jem pointed out last night that by allowing the music round to be used as the Joker round it potentially gave an unfair advantage to people that chose that round just because there were basically double the points on offer anyway compared to the other rounds.

Didn't think that one through, my bad.

Removing the double points from those that chose it didn't have any real impact on the final result though, the top 3 were the same, and Ross would have dropped two places - other than that, no difference.

Might run the same quiz (probably minus the video games stuff) with my work colleagues later in the week!
TheVision, forever tainted by the wipeout round. Will his reputation ever recover?

Again, please don't change just for me. I'll make it if I can. Carry on as you are!

Besmirched! I demand a recount!

If this kind of carry on, carries on I might just end up taking myself elsewhere! Perhaps next week I can talk arcade machines with Malc's daughter? She doesn't seem the kind to dock me points.

You have a fan there.
Someone asked last night if I had a busy day planned for today. At the time I had one known call in Wakefield, but by the end of the day this was where I'd been: Rico at Salford to collect parts, M1 South near Wakefield for a card reader swap, Stanley,Wakefield to replace two printers, Huddersfield to replace a card reader, Whalley Bridge to fix a receipt printer, Chappel-en-le-Frith to replace a 'touch computer,' then back to Salford to drop off faulty parts. 163 miles in total. Lovely day for driving through rural Derbyshire.

That's a lot of travel, but I bet it was gorgeous on a day like today. I know that area very well. And you didn't have to go through Ashton at all!
Anyone fancy a call this evening?
Bloody hell, it's Tuesday again already!

Are Jazzy and Joans doing a quiz? :D

I hope so, we've written a quiz. :)

Haha!
O/
Yesss! Looking forward to it :D
I will try and be there..
I just about remembered the bins today, which reminded me of this!
Invite posted to members' forum. I've set the chat to start from 20:00, but I will probably be on by 19:45. Will post here when live.
Highly unlikely as the small child is being a proper dickhead again.

Sorry.
I thought this was tomorrow because of lockdown madness.

It's like you think it's one day for you, and another for everyone else.
Another fun evening! Thanks everyone and special thanks to GJ and Joans for their great quiz.

See you all next week.
Aye, thanks guys - great fun :) Surprised we ended up coming out on top given how poor our music rounds were!
It was a great quiz... :)
Sorry I missed it... It was a combination of the girls going to bed late and me forgetting what time it was that sent my whole evening into disarray.

I'll be back as normal next week all being well.

But you got The Wurzels!

It was epic switching my screen over quickly and seeing everyone bopping to it. :D

Thanks for a great evening all. :luv:

The look on his face when that turned out to be correct :DD

I wasn't even sure they were a thing. I just had Wurzel Gummidge in my head and "Wurzels" sounded like it was a name I'd heard at some point in the past ;)
I can assure you that you have not suffered any major deprivation in your cultural education.

And I came next to bottom AGAIN, despite getting !00% in the Wurzels round.

But stlll a great quiz, carried out in good spirit despite some disputes about the answers to some questions.

Important to remember, IT'S ONLY A GAME. :DD
It's not a proper quiz if someone doesn't dispute an answer at some point ;)

In our local it basically just comes down to "what I've got written down here goes, no ifs, no buts".
Yeah, but no one spat out their dummy, it was all settled with appropriate courtesy.

However, if there'd been a valuable prize at stake ...........
Hey everyone. Just a reminder that we're doing it all again tomorrow (Tuesday). This week's quiz is written by me! I promise it won't all be about the American Civil War and bears.

Details etc to follow.
Yay! Look forward to it. Thanks Kern.
I'll be there as long as you fix it for me to be second from bottom this time.
I was aiming for second from bottom. Return to my rightfful place in the order.
I've placed the joining details in the members' forum. I should be on by 19:45.
Should be able to join tonight. It's fancy dress, right?

Yes, yes it is.. :)
If "fancy dress" means "in your pants," then yes, it is.
Better than "not in your pants"
