BeeX Virtual Meet & Quiz

I have a round!
Me too... And I'm running late.

Be with you all in a mo.
Have fun tonight guys. Sorry I'm not there
I'm not going to waste time (and drive space) on PowerPoint from now on, it's much easier to just hold the logo cards up to the camera. Low tech is the way for'ard.
It worked really well..
Details updated. See you all at 8 for even more edge-of-the-seat tension this evening.

You'll have to do without me, tonight.

Disgraceful.

(I currently have 40% of a round)

I'm not sure I can.
I now have 100% of a round!
Tonight's details are up.

I had assistance from a small person on this week's round so please be gentle later. :DD
Great fun, thanks everyone.

You can play BBC Micro Countdown through your web browser and see if that doesn't clam up all your system resources like running it through BeebEm did. Still not sure what was going on, as the geography quiz from the other month was graphically more taxing than letters on Mode 7 teletext but didn't make everything crawl. Gah, modern tech.

His round was excellent - send him a big round of applause for us.

Can he do a whole quiz?

The lion was particularly good, and anyone who thought the T. Rex was a velociraptor needs to have a good talk with themselves. I mean, it wasn't even on a bike.
I think I'll be missing from next week's quiz because I'M GOING ON A ROAD TRIP!!!!
Don't you do that every day? ;)
For work, yes. But this is a family trip, going 340 miles outward, with an overnight stop, two days in the target area, then return with an overnight stop and I don't own a car at the moment. I'm not certain what vehicle we'll be in. Who knows what may happen?
Tonight's details are up! Looking forward to seeing everyone melting from 8.

That was fun last night. Always great to see you all.
Great fun and many inventive rounds as always. Good to see an old face come back to reclaim his trophy.

Here's that 1950s BBC ident. It's mesmerizingly terrifying.

Transdiffusion wrote about its origins a while back.
Morning everyone... Sorry I missed you all last night. I didn't get back from work till late and when I was all sorted, there wasn't time to come on.

We needed you to save us from the terrifying return of Davpaz.
That ident gets more worrying over time. Eyes appear on the sides, for me. Had to stop it, for fear someone was alerted and coming to prop my eyes open.
There's no link between my victorious return and the mind controlling perfectly normal BBC ident.

Obviously.

:hipster:
I've done another round that is split into 2 parts. I have a dilemma though!

After doing part 1, it would be very easy to find the answers to part 2!

Do I

a) Just do part 1, without ever doing part 2
b) Do part 1 and part 2 on the same night (might be too much of the same thing it's, 24 questions in total)
c) Do part 1 this week, and Part 2, next week, and either trust that no one will look up the answers or don't care if someone does
d) Do part 1 this week, and part 2 in 4 months time when everyone has forgotten about it
Do part 2 first.
Tonight's details are in the usual place. Note that due to new rights issues we can only show one live event at a time.

For the old, infirm and feeble minded, what does, "we can only show one live event at a time," mean in terms of the quiz?
Pretty sure Kern is just taking the piss out of the BBC's contract with Discovery which means it can only show 1 live event on the main BBC channels with a second on the red button/iPlayer.
Oh, a bit like "needle time" on the BBC Light Programme in days of yore.

Actually, it's nothing like that.
Sorry I missed it yesterday. We were at a wedding and a few beers after.
That's a lovely picture of you both. :luv:
Have you had your ear pierced recently, or has that always been there?

Had it done when I was 21 ish. Got bored in lockdown :)
You were 21 in lockdown? Gosh, time really has no meaning anymore :D
It feels that long :)
I feel silly asking this, but is that a batman earring?

Is it Kovacs? If yes, then yes.

I was thinking exactly the same thing!

That's all very nice, but he doesn't need to broadcast that he has odd balls as well.
