Stadia was released just over a week ago and I don’t believe there’s any sales figures released yet.
Yes I know, the point is this thing needs to reach some sort of critical mass, and it needs to do it quickly. By all accounts the multiplayer aspects of a lot of games on Stadia just aren't working because there simply aren't enough people on the service.
Everyone who's got Stadia has got Destiny 2, everyone who's got it is super keen and shelled out top dollar for the Founder's Edition, you'd expect them to be online and using it, if there are fewer than 20,000 people online playing Destiny 2 worldwide, those aren't good numbers.
To my mind Stadia either needs to grow quickly, or it's going to shrink quickly, but with XCloud looming and looking, y'know, a fuckton better, I'm not sure I fancy Stadia's chances.
Ultimately, it's doing hardly anything that Google said it would, it's just another OnLive, and we know what happened to that.
