Epic develop and maintain the Unreal Engine. You can't write that off as nothing
Gears of War
Unreal Tournament
Fortnite

and no one like exclusivity

The Steam store was literally built on exclusive access to Valve’s games.

Right. But does anyone like it?

To be honest on the PC it makes zero difference to me.

I mean, I can always do with less storefronts to install and it annoys me not being able to see all my 'to play' list in a single place (though I'm currently employing a really ridiculous work around) but yeah, it's certainly less of a problem than when done with consoles.

Is it a spreadsheet?
No, I'm adding games that I've got installed in Epic into Steam as non-Steam apps like Firefox and Notepad then changing the icon to match the game they represent.

If BL3 (for example) was available on Steam and Epic, with it costing a bit more on Steam, I don't think anyone would complain.

This is the Internet, someone will complain. Someone always does.
Not sure it counts, but:

It counts if you want it to count. Any other way of trying to decide what counts is madness.

Oh, is that how it works? Okay.

@gazchap should I count the new Google Wifi hub I bought to improve the signal for my PS4?
Yeah, may as well.
If I’m using it for gaming it’s getting counted.
What about your electricity bill?

It’s hard to quantify how much of that is for gaming so
Food? You can't game without food at some point.
Or a property to house all your gaming equipment

Low effort.

I have a sofa I only sit on for gaming.

Did you buy it for that purpose?
It's technically moved house.

The best kind of moving house.

Cheers for drawing my attention to this DM! I have now bought this game 3 times. Never for full price.

Glad to be of help. :) I've already played it more than the Steam version that I already owned.
I didn’t really see the point in getting the remaster on PC when the original game still works in modern-day resolutions.

I was tempted by the PS4 version but I don’t think it really got the same traction as in the old 360 days. The online challenges were the best part.

Do you seriously have to buy all the games again?
Most are cross-buy, so if you've already bought them for Rift (through the Oculus store, not Steam) then you don't have to buy it again.

There are a few exceptions, though. Notably Beat Saber, Superhot and Virtual Desktop.
Sega Megadrive classics - Switch <14.99>
Crypt of the Necrodancer - Switch <2.79>
Castlevania Anniversary collection <15.84>
The Videokid <2.79>
<2004.96> 'Spare' gaming laptop for the downstairs lounge. For games, general computer duties for me and Mrs Hearthly, and also content creation. Cost includes delivery to IOM.

OK I'll leave it as it is then. However my official estimate is now £400-£600 for this year.

With my current PC usage scenario I simply can't justify buying a new PC. The only PC game that's on my radar for this year is Borderlands 3, and I should be able to run that fine on my existing PC.

Lol
It's OK. It doesn't count as it's only a spare.

Just out of interest Hearthly, how many PCs do you have now?
That'll make nine in total.

1) My PC
2) Mrs Hearthly's PC
3) Hearthly Jnr's PC
4) Media centre/big telly games PC (this is connected to the 55 inch telly) MEGA MAME JOY with this one
5) Guest bedroom laptop
6) Main bedroom 'media centre' laptop (this is connected to a 32 inch telly)
7) Kitchen all-in-one PC
8 ) My laptop
9) New 'spare' gaming laptop

All are Windows 10 apart from (5) and (6)
<16.99> Hearthstone The Dalaran Heist (Expansion) Chapters 2-5 unlocks. (Chapter 1 is free.)

You don't have any in the toilet? Mate, you're missing out.
Hmmmm, we only have two PCs. I suddenly feel this is way too few.
I read Custom PC, PC Pro, or Private Eye whilst I'm on the toilet.

What happened to f2p :D i did it all via gold this time, it's pretty good actually, quite a bit to do.
I save gold for the 'packs' expansions, story expansions I buy with cash.
<15.99> Lego DLC for Forza Horizon 4
<27.86> TOKI'S WILD BUNDLE for Hearthstone.

56 packs to open for that cash can't be turned down.

I turned it down...
Did you get any swaps?
