Vinyl Record Player RMD

Here’s the spec:

It plays vinyl records.
It’s not particularly expensive.
£100, say, is that too much or too less.
It’s not for use by some spazzy audiophile - just me and I’m going deaf in one ear.
I don’t know what to do about speakers. Does it come with speakers? Are those speakers any good? Or shall I get additional speakers - or like a sound bar or some shit?
Also, it should have Bluetooth because everything is better with Bluetooth. And maybe cause now I think about it I’ll probably need to get some speakers.
It must be aesthetically good looking.
It must not be too large. I want it to sit somewhere where it’s kinda on display but not obvious or taking up significant amount of space.
Do you mean you want it to output over bluetooth?

If so, Richer Sounds has some examples but they're above your price point: https://www.richersounds.com/hi-fi/sepa ... ivity=3912

If you can do without the bluetooth, we have this one at work and it's dope: https://www.richersounds.com/hi-fi/turn ... l-red.html But you'll have to plug it into a pre-amp, and then an amp, and then some speakers. Which is a bit much for something you'll use twice and then think "fuck me, this is shit compared to Spotify".
What you're asking for is impossible at your price point if you don't want it to sound shit.

I have an entry-level system and it cost me around £500.
Get down to your local Cash Converters or Cash Generator and see what Hi-fi's they have with turntables. A basic all in one shouldn't be too much.
Fuck vinyl. It's just snake oil.
I don't think vinyl sounds any better than digital, but I love looking at 12" artwork rather than a 3" picture on a screen. Plus I really pay attention to music when I sit down in a comfy chair and put a record on as it's just a really nice experience. Much better than putting on a playlist on my computer while working.

Couldn't agree more. A friend of mine has a very high end set up and sent me a FLAC recording of a Radiohead album. I played it through two set ups, one using my T5P and the other with my RS2E and it sounded shite. Nostalgic, but shite.

My ears did become accustomed to it eventually, but switching back to my WAV rip of my CD? Yeah, no contest.

Not quite.

Bullshit modern mastering techniques (that is to say, compressing the hell out of everything) aren't compatible with vinyl as it would dkop like buggery. So you get a different, potentially less harsh master.

Depends on the degree to which that offends you compared to the different, and noisier character of a vinyl record.

I thought that said rarely and couldn't work out what you were trying to say. Took me about 6 times re-reading it to work out that it was really! I'm even more tired than I thought I was.

If I'm sitting down and dedicatng my time to music I normally turn to YouTube as I like the added dimension that a video gives you. Else it's just on when I'm commuting; in the bath; drifting off to sleep; working or playing games.
Kind of what Myp said if you're buying new.

For example:
Turntables - Project PRIMARY £149 Rega RP1 (£249) I have this turntable it's lovely.
Amp with phono input - £150+ (From last time few times I've heard budget systems I'd recommend Yamaha)
Speakers Richer Sounds have well rated Wharfedale DIAMOND 9.0 at £39 a pair but the sky's the limit like anything else.
About £20 on speaker wire and cables.
You might be better off buying one of those cheap, £40 turntables in a suit case type things that Aldi have in occasionally. I've no doubt you can plug one of those into some speakers that you may already have or just use the in built ones.

This might be just enough to get you over the fad and make you realise that vinyl is pretty inconvenient.
I can't wait until you get over the inconvenient fad of owning physical video games.
If there was a reliable and cheap way to stream them all digitally, I might just do that...

Ah, who am I kidding?!! These games are coming to the grave with me!

Yeah, they sound just as good if not better than a nice system.

See? Even Zardoz says they're good! I'd get one if I were you.
