One for each hand!
I went into a shop, put my credit card in the little machine and they gave me a Switch. I think they call it shopping, or something.

You already have one though.
One for each hand.
I happened across a lot of youtube videos featuring homebrew and emulation on the Switch. Typically, this was the day after Nintendo dropped their new firmware that has at least put some kind of limitations on this kind of thing, and I quite like my Switch and don't want to fuck it up. So I got another one.
Couldn't you have got something a lot cheaper with better emulators?

I don't know. Could I?
99% of my gaming is currently done on a Switch in portable mode, so I was pretty much after "something like a Switch, that I can run emulators on"

Those Waveshare Game HAT things look interesting but I don't know how good they are.

PSP!

The screen perhaps isn't as good, admittedly.

Not as interesting as I imagined from the name. :p
I didn't consider trying to make a retropie (more) portable, but I think a 3.5" screen would be a bit small. I'm old now.

Hmm, if I hadn't sold mine years ago, it might be an option. I'm hoping for better things from the Switch though, and I'm offsetting some of the cost as it's an additional set of joycons.

I think I'd struggle too. Mind you, I use these to test Mega Drive and SNES games and the handheld MD has a 3" screen, so not ideal.

The GPD XD would have been ideal for you I reckon. It's got a big screen and plays pretty much everything I can throw at it.

Looks interesting. That can be my next project.
Pretty sure I cancelled this, but I can't be bothered contacting support.

<9.75> Humble Monthly Bundle (PC)
<43.99> RDR2
<39.99> Fifa 19
<12.99> Resident Evil VII (PS4)
8" TV <47.69>

I'll mainly be using it to test consoles out as I can quickly set it up around the house where I need it, but I think it'll come in handy generally as it has pretty much all the connectors I need.

Tested it out on my lunch break with a crappy Atari TV game thingy

Does it run on batteries?

If so, how long do they last?

Mains only.
I have one similar that does run on batteries.

It's this one...

I can't tell you what the battery life is like as I haven't run it into the ground yet.

It’s so funny. Not as good as Overcooked though (for your relationship)

:this:
I really should update this more often.

<546.76>

This is down to a number of things. The Smash Bros special edition, an SD card reader for my Atari 800XL, Taiko No Tatsujin on the Switch and various other bits.
Pffft. With that kind of attention to detail and eye for specifics you should be doing the UK's Brexit planning.
My spreadsheet is all up to date though... mostly.

Oof!

Expensive for a “mobile” game but it’s very close to the PC version which is £35 so I don’t think it’s poor value. I’m playing on my 13” iPad Pro.
