The Last Jedi - spoiler

I don’t think the inconsistencies are necessarily worse than any of the other movies.

“These AT-ATs are impervious to our laser weapons!”

Which is followed by it falling over a bit, making it vulnerable to being totally destroyed by a single shot.
They are. They utterly change space combat, which is a mainstay of the entire universe.
It was great though, wasn't it?

Other than Rose. I hated Rose.
I have trouble with the names. Poe and Snoke and Finn and Hux and Captain Phasma WAIT HOLY SHIT THAT WAS BRIENNE OF TARTH?!

Huh.

[edit] Thought it was someone else. Stupid names.

I liked Rose, but the casino side mission was definitely the weakest part of the film.

Nah, they've got particle shielding which fixes your 2p coming problem, but not your star or fucking big spaceship problem

Right, but the plot hole of "if your ship still obeys physical laws in hyperspace why isn't everyone weaponising hyperdrives" exists from the start.

I suppose the rebels have very limited resources, they were reduced to 4 ships.. If you were going to use them as a missile you would run out of a fleet quickly.
In this case they'd have saved a whole butt-load of them by just sacrificing one of the little ones.
A-Wings have hyperdrives. Exchange an A-Wing for a Star Destroyer? Yeah, I think you'd do that.

I thought Rose was ok.

Yeah but you've to take Fuel Economy and Insurance into account.

How was this surprising to you?! You knew she was in TFA:

I'm well good at remembering.
Hang on, where was Brienne in this one?

Are you pulling each other’s legs.

Or am I thinking of one of the Hunger Games?
I’ve seen it BTW, I enjoyed it apart from the casino bit which should have been cut altogether. And the bit with the kid and the broom at the end.
You mean you didn't recognise her from her eye?

Hang on, she’s called Captain Phasma!? That’s the actual name of her character?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Fucks sake.
She was the Cylon one that had a fight with Finn at the end.

Would mass matter in this?
Which is why you take the hyperspace drive out of the A-Wing and bolt it to a large rock.

I think the kid with the ring at the end suggests we're looking at a big time gap between 8 and 9. In-universe, I mean

I didn't catch this myself but apparently that kid is one of the one's from the casino planet so I don't think it's suggesting anything about timescales, just a hopeful wee moment to throw in.

He was. It looked like he made the broom spring into his hand using TEH SPACE MAGIK so I thought it was supposed to represent the force returning.

I thought the bit with Yoda was silly. A long dead thing can control the weather?! That would possibly have been handy at other times.

Was that the original muppet though? I was a bit giddy that it was.

Am I discussing physics with a man that would jump on a hand grenade

Yes, but it would be going so freaking fast you could achieve the same with a pebble.
Turns out Luke was also angry with how Luke was treated.

I really liked what they did with Luke.

Me too.
Also my arse is hiding not the Jedi Way. Once Vader appeared Yoda went to live in a swamp and Old Ben Kenobi hid in a cave. For 20 years.

Well, quite. It's quite fitting he ended up like those two.
Yeah... so... really it's all about never giving up and keep rebuilding your dreams like the Empire do. Don't hide away like the Space hippies.
I managed 17 seconds of that. Awful, awful nerds who think they're cool.
I rather like his channel, his games reviews are really good and often quite insightful.

That Star Wars piece is well considered and their reasons are justified and explained.

There is an element of needing to get past the upfront persona, but ultimately he comes over as an intelligent and decent enough chap.

The stuff he's done about the repeal of net neutrality is excellent.

You might not get all that from watching 17 seconds of one video.
And I never will!

I'll live, somehow.
We all die eventually, man.
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
"They can track us through hyperspace!"
"How? That's impossible."

(cut to wrist-based tracking device being worn by Leia that allows Rey to track their position from anywhere in the galaxy)
The even set up the hyperspace thing in Rogue One!

Go and watch the film!!

It is a bit weird seeing someone criticise a film so vehemently that he hasn't seen based on 2nd hand opinions.
Indeed.

It is like me saying how good the cars handle in iracing after watching your videos.
I haven't criticised the film once, vehemently or otherwise.

No you are posting stuff that does. Your choice. Just a bit odd
I watched it, and I don’t mind his video game reviews, but I thought it was nitpicking and tedious.

I saw it was 60 mins. I was not that bored.
Basically chap saying watched film again and it made more sense

Watched 1 min. Not any more.
Look at Kov critisising something he hasn't seen!

Yes. I started to watch it. Till he said he had seen TLJ and some of the points her raised he could answer. Then I stopped.
