The quite boring Jalopy is free on Humble at the mo.

I played it when I drunkenly badgered Mr Dave into buying it and was very buggy and unfinished.

I've corrected that for you.

I thought I bought it for you, or was that My Summer Car? That was somehow worse.

You got me My Summer Car. Which bugged out and locked me into the toilet until i pissed myself and starved to death.
Just to get this straight: you pissed yourself while in a toilet?
the piss bar filled up
I wanted to see if i died from it
I didn't.

Or it might have been stink bar that fills up from pissing, I don't really remember.

I tried but couldn’t get on with it.

I hate you so much
Obduction (spiritual sequel to Myst and Riven and made by the same devs) is free on GOG right now:

I suspect I'll just get confused almost instantly by it but I'm hoping it'll be atmospheric enough to justify a wander around it's world.
Just been having a nose at the cheapo stuff on Amazon Prime Video and thought I'd post some of the bargain basement stuff in case it's of interest

The Nice Guys - £1.99
Shallow Grave - 99p
Drive - £1.99
The Road - £1.99
Do Amazon video downloads have DRM?

I would imagine so. I only ever stream them via the app.
I like The Road a lot. Especially the book it’s based on. One of my top 5 best reads.
Fucking hell, that's a stupid amount of DLC! And it reminds me that I own Borderlands 2 and loads of the DLC from a Humble Bundle a while back. Maybe I should play it some day...
The handsome collection is currently free / not free on PS Plus.
To make it simple, let's introduce the concept of Trooperfree and Mopfree.
That’s confusing if you don’t know both of us. Let’s simplify it by saying it’s free as in June’s issue of Pedant Monthly when you’ve bought a 12-month subscription free, not free as in I bought two copies of June’s issue of Pedant Monthly would you like my spare one free.

But you might expect a favour in return so not really free

Good point, I very well might.

It's potentially still worth doing if you've got a Pro and a 1080p TV because the higher res textures will be downsampled, not sure what performance hit you might get from that though.

It may not remain free, so it perhaps is.

I’ll add it to my account but not download then. Ta.

You're right about the Pro but: "they’re best enjoyed on 4K displays, but also offer some improvements at lower resolutions."

It's always been free (same link as above.)

Yeah, the £35 voucher on CDKeys is by far the best value for money, which is a little odd.

Not complaining, though.

Ta.

I got it, downloaded it, tried it for 15 minutes, quit. Way too complex with a terrible ui for me to bother trying to learn it at this stage, i'm too old and impatient for that shit.
I'm sure it's great if you have been playing the previous variants for years, but not for me.

This might be interesting to some? It's a collection of creepy radio stories from the 80's.

You might be a little late for Amazon Prime Day.
Fez is currently free on the Epic Store, which isn't all that interesting. What is potentially more interesting is that from Thursday onwards the free gamess are Celeste and Inside. The former seems to be adored by pretty much everyone that's played it and if you're one of the lunatics that still hasn't played Inside then you'll have no excuse not to sort that out.
You’ll get fed up with Celeste very quickly if our effort at Towerfall is anything to go by.

Yeah, it's almost certainly not for me, but I thought other people would be interested.
I tried Celeste for about 5 minutes. Not for me
I could probably watch a Let's Play though
