I'm not off until Good Friday, having to play my annual leave cards wisely as I've already book off FOR TWOI FORRIN HOLIDAYS ALREADY THIS YEAR. :metul:
I hope we don't go to war with Spain.
I've got loads of holiday still to book this year. Makes a change.
I usually reach December with shedloads of holiday days left and just book most of the month off. I sometimes, though less often these days, take the odd day off after a gig so I can have a few drinks; and when I do go away properly it's generally only for long weekends as I'd get bored staying longer in one place.
Gaz is also off for the next 2 weeks, but only because I cocked up arranging our London break (he was originally planning on having last week of April off instead of next week) :S

You can't truly cock up a London trip until you book the hotel for the right date but the wrong year. Still, at least I've got another London trip now pre-booked for next year. :belm:
:DD Mine wasn't quite that bad.
Bamba, at which point did you realise the mistake? At reception?
That's pretty spectacular!

Of course! After the guy couldn't find my reservation I showed him the email confirmation and he took a second to notice my mistake for me. Thankfully I wasn't being all indignant about it or anything or I'd have felt like even more of a prick.

You're doing this 'work' thing wrong. :P
Put your thing down, flip it and reverse it.

MrsA away for 2 nights. Lost baby monitor already.
Well yes - it's away for two nights
There's a toddler disco at 3pm. There's a bar there. 5 hours. 5 hours.

5 hour toddler disco? Are they mad?

I took F'ske and Owhiowhi to the Toddler Disco or whatever it was on Saturday. I looked fucking great. It was good. The neighbours from two doors down were there, too. Wasn't sure if I should have gone over to talk to them for longer than I did or not. F'sje was quite happy dancing with their kid, but I'm never sure of etiquette in these situations. Fel a bit awkward, too, as, I had a pint (£3 for 1664!) and they had lemonades. Anyway, they are talkative, but I wasn't sure about hanging around and latching on, as it were.

I'm not sure if you think that's cheap or expensive. I think it's cheap.
What kind of music were they playing? Did they do the Birdie Dance?
I did look great*, never know who might be there, and I could count on F'ske saying "Mummy's gone away..." Cannot attach photo, just imagine me looking great.

£3 for 1664 is dirt cheap.
The music was stuff like The Smiths, Maddness, Florence et Machinum, indie rock, some other stuff from an iPad smashed through a sound system.

*Green and orange Vans, dark blue jeans, tight and grey Brooklyn Brewery T shirt, Oakley Frogskins, motorola 360 all model's own.
Quiet on here today.

Easter holidays innit. People are probably outside.

Yes. I am outside.
I spent the weekend outside. Had an enjoyable hike up and around Ivinghoe Beacon in Hertfordshire on Saturday, then yesterday some friends came over and we filled all the gaps in the patio with concrete. Feel a bit stiff today.

Having a slow day at work. I've noticed that the Christmas lights are still on the big tree at the front.
I was outside all yesterday! I'm currently injured so couldn't play, but I coached first base for two games and umpired a third. We won both our games (I'm allowed to say 'we' because I'm a member of the team).

I missed sunscreen on a spot on my neck and now it's a bit red.
I'm in the York Railway Museum

I went there for the first time back in February. Pure train porn: utter delight. The warehouse of accumulated railway stuff was great to explore too.

Mallard is a genuinely beautiful machine. It always looks good in photos, but it's even more impressive in real life.

It fell apart seconds after it performed its Thrilling Heroics, if memory serves, like an inverse Pinot.
I've been in and out since Saturday getting stuff done in both the house and garden. Sent Joans to work out of my way today. :P

Just having a quick coffee before I start again.

My mate has confirmed the Ibiza villa we're spending a long weekend in during the Summer to celebrate her 50th. The house itself looks nice but it's in the total middle of nowhere:

You seen Mad Dogs?
I have kov junior for a week. So far amazing.

Took him to wasps, he loved it. His mum gave thumbs up.

He met a lot of the players after the match
The England captain.
How bizarre. If I take a screen shot it posts but the original won't
Last time I checked it wouldn't let me post edited screenshots at all.
Yep, that's still the case.
Have any of the funny people on the Internet photoshopped a picture of Mr Corbyn sitting the aisle of an aeroplane yet?
BBC Cornwall: 'Thieves stole police car in Cornwall and drove 230 miles'.

That's actually pretty impressive.

Quote:
Toy broke a window at an unmanned police station to get to the car keys before the pair drove about 230 miles along the A30, the M5 and then the M4.
...
Poole drove the car most of the way to Bristol, clocking a top speed of 107mph. Toy then took over, averaging 110mph but reaching 124mph on occasions.

Quote:
For the four minutes before being stopped, the car's blue lights were activated

Only the last four? Disappointing.
