I bought a paddling pool! And some school shorts and socks. Yay! Except I managed to get them delivered to the old flat. And I ordered the school shorts in the wrong colour. And possibly the wrong size as I’ve just remembered he takes a size smaller.
I bought some childhood happy memories
Reminds of this place - https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restauran ... gland.html

I spent many a Saturday in here as a child. With all the wonderful drinks.

D&B and sarsaparilla remind me of home..
Are you Yosemite Sam?

Yee haw.. Not quite.

It was a fab little shop.. full of great concoctions.
Is that where you’re from then, Rossendale?
Yes. From a town called Rawtenstall, in the Rossendale Valley, just near Accrington.
Accrington? Who are they?

A pair 501s

I love my 501s. There is a shop that sells 'vintage' jeans. I get most of my 501s from there.
I have, in the past, worn Geordie Jeans.
The were really tight. Especially aroond the arse
I’ve only worn 501s for years now. As a kid and young adult they were so aspirational and unaffordable that when I could afford them I just stuck, despite the fact that on the jeans pricing spectrum they’re definitely in the bottom quartile.
Yeah, I moved away from them and now I don't know why I did that. I was having a look at Hebtroco but ASOS 501 was an easier search.

That's what I found with 501s. I found Wranglers were much better for me.

Now that I'm old and don't give two tuppeny turds about brands, I seem to have ended up mostly wearing M&S jeans, but that's partly because Mrs. W usually buys my clobber for me.
Wore my jumper today and the first stranger I encountered complimented me on my “fantastic jumper”. :metul:
It was an investment!!
Surely you mean a vestment.
Haha! Giphy "hurrah":

New porch cover fitted today.

Looks a lot better.
Alright chill out Rockefeller with your pay rise and your fancy porch cover.
You need a new Batmat.

You need a new Alfred next then.

And a Playstation game from a charity shop. I wouldn't have bothered normally, but it's still sealed. How about that?

They are night and day compared to using a drill as a screwdriver.

Plus you can annoy your neighbours with the constant BRRRRRRRRRRRT
I'm planning on converting my loft eventually... I've only been talking about it for ten years or so.

But anyway, one of these would be a no brainer.
Makita do this bundle which is excellent value for money:

And then you should buy this one because 12V is for pussies:

I got the B&D one as I already have a drill from the same battery line. If I keep escalating my woodworking at the same speed that I have over the last 2 months though, I might have to upgrade.
I think I actually played that version of Actua Soccer on the PC. A demo at least. I don't remember good things about it

Huh, I've never even seen a 12v impact driver before.
I already have a pair of Makita drivers and they're ace!
I was pretty chuffed at having re-painted the inside of the garage door. But I had to look up what an impact driver is, so I guess I have to hand this in.

I've got that 18v set. It's fucking brilliant.

I also now have a reciprocating saw, circular saw, angle grinder and tyre inflator. I think I want an orbital sander next. Or maybe the chainsaw even though I already have a Bosch one.
Obviously I'm also buying the boxes and inlays as I come across them for decent prices too.

Brewdog beer can be remarkably good value when purchased from them directly, for future ref.

That is where I got it from, they had an offer on the AF stuff..
Ordered a new 4K tv for my games room so I can move the PS5 into there.
A second hand but really good condition trampoline.

The unforgiving placement on the gravel is (probably) temporary. Although I think it's a good way to deter them wrecking the side netting and falling out.

Lady T wants to get rid of all the stones and lay some artificial grass. It's probably a good idea as it'd create a level space for the kids play equipment.
I am glad you are still optimistic - thinking that "hey, kids, if these things happen, you'll really get hurt!" will be a deterrent.

Definitely going with Lady T, there (though if it were the UK I'd be slightly despairing at all the artificial grass that I see around the place - bit different where nature hides venomous things). At some point they might hit the gravel, and you won't take any pleasure in any warnings being right.

haha, I was slightly joking but also, injuries build character (again, slightly joking)

I'm not a massive fan or artificial grass either, but we've got a fair bit of real grass already although it's not especially flat, and even a very slight gradient is quickly revealed when a big-ish trampoline is plonked down on top.

We also bought some second hand monkey bars, but they will need fixing for stability. There's going to be a lot for kids to do in our yard, which will make it even more irritating when they stay inside watching telly all day >:( .
It'll be a lovely memory for them - all that space, all that activity, and total freedom to ignore it!
