THREE YEARS? But I need the traditional 4 to prepare. I won't be match fit.
Yeah, I agree with all of that, I think. I also just enjoyed the excellence of the winners - even Italy pipping GB at the end for the 4x100m was just "wow, look at that!" for me, rather than a disappointment. Though, a bit like the Euros, where I wanted the players to win but not the country, I'd have liked those athletes to get gold - it can redeem a whole career that is brutally tough, as with Campbell and Lawrence-Francis in 2004. Wish I'd seen Kenny live this morning (?) but the replay is still spectacular.

Lots of non GB stuff was awesome. The sharing of the men's high jump gold. The Swedish Viking celebration. The men's marathon. Bermuda's first gold, were the mains that spring to mind.
I really enjoyed these Olympics. Now for the para.

I am sure the next 3 years will fly by.
Yep. More grist to the mill for the "they're all at it!" line. Pity.
Currently in the Friday Pub. Shot of the week last time I was in was 22-21-22: Disaronno, Kahula, and Butterscotch. Today, the 21 has been crossed out and replaced with 17.
Well, I'll now have "Kahula, Bahamas, Come on Pretty Mama" running round my head for some time. I hope you're happy.
We'll get there fast and then take it slow. :luv:

That's not how medals work!
I have just learned that Charlotte Worthington is the daughter of our gardener, When I say 'our gardener' I don't mean he's exclusively employed by us, but owns the company wot does a bit of garden maintenance for us. I had no idea of the connection until he texted us to ask us to vote for her in the National Lottery Olympian of the Year.

Commonwealth games ticket ballot opens to the general public from tomorrow, it's in Birmingham next year. I've applied for Rugby 7s tickets.

Those of us nearby have been able to apply for the early ballot.
We're trying for athletics, swimming & diving but I might have a look at the Rugby as well

I've gone for athletics, rugby 7s and the opening ceremony.

Bagged Category B tickets for the 100m finals night, but no luck on the other events.

Going to try again on the 8th for Rugby 7s tickets.

Total failure here.
