Not huge. I think I averaged 2300 a year on the previous one I had. I’d done more on the Kawasaki I had in between but that was doing some commuting as well.
I got it at a very good price so it’s not depreciated at all in a year and a half.
My Mini convertible is doing well too. In 32 months and 22k miles it only seems to have lost about £3k.

Nay: Some tosser or tossers have stolen a load of parts from my van while I went for a wee at Buttonwood services. I'd done the right thing and put my tablet and bag in the back but didn't lock it properly. Eejit!!
When I returned and opened the back to get tablet and bag, two crates full of parts (PIN pads, hand held terminals, HDDs and a load of interface cables) had been almost emptied.
Yay: They didn't take my tablet or bag, just moved them out of the way, and they didn't see my laptop bag, so that's not been pilfered either. The missing parts are an annoyance, but can be replaced. They opened a box to see what was in it, which was a PIN pad, but didn't take it, but did take two that they hadn't opened. Odd. But It would have been a real pain in the are if they'd taken my laptop and tablet.
I'd love to see their faces when they open everything because virtually nothing will be of any use to them. They may be able to flog the hand held terminals in a pub, as they look like fancy smart phones, but they won't be able to do anything with them.
I'm just doing an inventory to see what's gone.
I'm on leave next week, so I don't give a shit about all this anyway, really.

Went for a long walk a couple of weeks ago, in my trainers. They got very wet, and then smelled. Since then, they've been stinking out my car, despite regular sprays with some obviously not-magic spray.

It's true! I am rarely short of trainers, but not currently running so it isn't urgent. (Scan on Saturday, hoping I'll then, subject to NHS waiting lists etc., have a prognosis and some options.)

I have to take my boy over the Alder Hey next week and the current border restrictions mean we both have to isolate for 14 days and take 3 tests when we get back, or isolate for 21 days. We also can't live with any members of our household during that time either. I also just started a new job in January so I wasn't sure how this would play out with the new boss and if I'd have to take it off unpaid. And it's the boys last year of A Levels so not ideal for him to take any time time off. So a whole heap of 'Nays' there. Not looking forward to travelling in these circumstances either, and it's a trip for an operation so that's a bit stressful, too.

Mr. flis is going to stay with his son so my boy and I can come back to our house, which will be better than any of us living in a hotel for 2 weeks. The school are okay with him doing remote learning so I guess the practice they've all had at that makes it less of an issue this year than it would otherwise have been. Luckily, the op is supposed to be quite straightforward this time and much less traumatic than his first one, which resulted in a longer stay and a collapse lung and months of agony for him
