I've heard he insists on doing all the translated versions
ICH BIN GROOT
IK BEN GROOT
JE SUIS GROOT
YO SOY GROOT

I don't know any more. Dave, what's the Japanese?

2 things:

1. I seriously doubt that all of those people were together at the same time

and

2. Evangeline Lilly looks awful :(

She does, but I think it's primarily that haircut and those trousers.

Davpaz, why are you there on the far right?

I can’t even see Ms Lily.
Yeesh. She could not be less arsed.

Isn't black panther a tautology anyway? If a panther isn't black then it's a leopard/jaguar/whatever. Panther being a melanistic big cat. He should be the Perfectly Normal Panther. Or Melanistic Jaguar.

Or they should have got Mos Def in and called it Def Leopard.

Panther != leopard

Incorrect. They're black leopards. Except the Yank ones, which are black jaguars. Them and white tigers are basically the big cat equivalent of gingers.

You don't think gingers are a separate species do you?

None of them look particularly happy.

Khnyom Groot for Khmer.

Why is Perry White present?!?!
Had no idea that Linda Cardellini and Robin Sherbatski starred in Marvel films. Maybe i should be more aware of these movies.
Sherbatski is Avengers only, I think.

and she kinda sucks in it imo.

Captain America films too (at least winter soldier, can't remember if she was in Civil War.
It always felt like she was there to push a larger role - I was completely astonished that she wasn't in Agents of SHIELD as that would have been the most obvious fit.

Civil War too

Probably "グルートです"

I don't know the character or context at all, so that's my best guess.

He's a tree. Called Groot

How formal is he, what is he responding to, how wordy is he, would he talk with a neutral, boyish or mannish tone... And so on.

He only ever says I AM GROOT. Very deep manly voice (until he becomes a baby).
It is though. Or it would be Captain America having a fight with nobody in particular about something he's wrong about but nobody argues with.

I would say a film where Iron Man is the antagonist is not an Avengers movie.
It's also pretty clearly the third part in the Cap/Bucky trilogy, whilst also being part of the setup for Infinity War.

Almost like it's part of a wider cinematic universe.

They’re just following orders. All laws are just.
Some people think Cap 3 is an Avengers film, some people don't.

The people that don't haven't seen Cap 3.
Having characters from the Avengers films in does not an Avengers film make. It's thematically different and pits them against each other, rather than together versus a common foe. A subtle but important difference.

Wat. You plank.
I have been won over by your powerfully persuasive argument. I am no match for your intellect.
I don't agree with that reasoning. Both previous avengers movies had conflict within the avengers, both in terms of clashing perspectives, and fisticuffs. It's more pronounced (and not actually resolved by the end) in Civil War, but it's there in the Avengers movies too.
I think if there's one thing we can all agree on it's that this is a very important distinction which must be settled one way or the other.
Black Panther: pretty good, but takes too long to get going, and literally every other character is more interesting than the lead.
GotGv2: not quite as good as the first film, but still a lot of fun.
Black Panther:not a fan of a lot of the music.
Anyone else think that Infinity War is going to... Suck?

There will be a bunch of fight scenes against generic-cgi-clone armies (a Marvel staple!) that will be worth watching, but I have this feeling it's going to be a mess.
