Iron fist season 2 is out.

Anyone care?...anyone?

Didn't think so.
Not seen the first one, or Defenders.
Heard so many negative things about the first season that I never even bothered trying it.
I watched Iron First 2.

Better than the first. Fucking hilarious that they cast a shit actor who can't even do decent action to play him. In the new season he puts a mask or similar on for every fight scene, but I guess they hired a good stuntman to tag in for him now because the action gets measurably better.

Mostly a dull season, but there's a great twist at the end that's basically them admitting they fucked up the first season really badly, and sets up a somewhat more interesting third season.

Not really essential viewing. If you want to be caught up, watch the first two episodes and the last three. It drags in the middle of course.

Yeah, I'll leave it.
No movie related but Luke Cafe has been cancelled. Seems fair to me.

So back in the real world it's a huge injustice.

I really enjoyed it. If Iron Fist gets a third season over this I'll scream.
Iron fist has been cancelled too.

If Daredevil 3 has Elektra in it it's living on borrowed time too.

It should have been more interesting then.

It was plenty interesting. Slow paced, but the dialogue scenes were brilliant, especially everything with Mariah in. It was a bit action-light but I didn't mind that. And the music and style were both excellent and utterly unique in the Marvel TVerse.

I'm sad it's ended and would have definitely been on board with a third season.
The music wasn’t the unique as they pinched half of it off Ghost Face Killah’s 12 Reasons to Die album!

I forget how much of his music is in Jessica Jones and Daredevil.

Try reading again.
I don’t watch either of them. I only watched this because of the hip hop vibe. Does Adrian Young do the soundtracks for those too?

I assume you mean Adrian Younge and not the drummer from No Doubt.

And no he doesn't. Hence the music being unique for the Marvel TVerse. Keep up.
I don’t watch them so how would I know. He was lazy anyway since it was jarring how many tracks he’d already produced off a single album were just shoved in. It’s not like he doesn’t have a large a catelog of tracks he could have used or just come up with new stuff. Anyway, it was shit. It would have been nice to have a strong black superhero (not that he used his “superpowers” much and was almost killed in the first season. Tch.) but they’ve got to step up their game and make it interesting. If you’ve had 26 episodes all about an hour a piece to make something special and failed then it’s right that it gets canned. It was still pretty fun seeing cameos from hip hop’s beast coast but that does not make a watchable series.
Keep being wrong Ian. Someone has to.
You’ll get over it, don’t worry. I’m here for you. Hush now, come to my loving embrace.
Eh, I've only watched the first season of Luke Cage and didn't go back because it didn't grab me. There were great things about it (the overall style of it was different enough from all the other Marvel stuff to make it stand out for sure) but the actual story and characterization was all over the place and it would have been maybe better if it was half the length. Which is true of all the Marvel TV stuff of course but LC somehow seemed to suffer much more from that.

:This:
I suspect that Luke Cage and Danny Iron Fist will be back in a heroes for hire series.

I think that's a little bit of wishful thinking. It's more likely due to Disney starting up their own streaming service and Disney own marvel.
I suspect it's going to get very expensive for Netflix to keep making marvel content...
Put me on the side of "Luke Cage was dull".

By far the best thing about it is that it introduced me to Jidenna.

Jidenna is excellent tbf.
I fucking love a couple of his tunes but the album is all over the place and there's a lot of shite on there.
I don't really "do" albums any more.

Long Live the Chief is an excellent song.

Yeah, it's incredible.
Daredevil season 3 is up with no fanfare. I wonder if the last few episodes will even have their effects finished!

I'm halfway through it at the moment, really enjoying it so far.
I just finished Daredevil season 3.

It's great.

First season is still the best, but this one is a close second.
I watched iron fist 2 in the end... The first few episodes were utter shit, but midway onwards the season actually got surprisingly good! Way better than the first season.
What on earth do Iron Fist and Daredevil have to do with the MCU?
We've been talking about TV in this thread for months. Including you!

They’re in the MCU continuity, as made clear in various references to the “Battle of New York” and the Avengers in the various Netflix/Marvel TV shows.

It stops now. I can’t believe what you’ve made me do!
I do wonder if drawing a line under the Netflix/Marvel stuff is ever going to happen. I could see them wanting to do some versions of some of those characters in the movies in the future.
Fuck knows what 2Pac has got to do with Black Panther. And sticking his face on a T-Shirt that also says Wakanda is just fucking pointless.

It looks like they’re all coming to an end anyway, likely because of the Disney acquisition of Marvel, and the imminent launch of a Disney streaming service to compete with Netflix.

Right, but will they eventually reboot/recast those characters. I wouldn't miss most of them (if they were rebooted/recast), but I'd certainly miss those versions of Daredevil, The Punisher and Kingpin.

New Captain Marvel Trailer
Still not doing much for me.

Vibe in the trailer is more like one of the terrible recent DC movies.

Obviously I'm reserving judgement for the actual movie.
I personally think it looks excellent
Although... what with the new Doctor, Captain Marvel and MrsPaz, I reckon I have a thing for strong confident women.

That explains a lot.
Not blowing me away, but I like it.

She looks badass.
I'm struggling to get excited about Captain Marvel, but I think that is less about the film itself and more about it not really moving anything on from Infinity War, so it just feels a bit... pointless.

But if Captain Marvel is a big part of Part 2 then they surely need to set her up.

Ant Man 2 didn't move anything along. Did you enjoy that?
I haven't watched Ant Man 2 yet.

I understand the need to set stuff up for her to be in part 2, but that doesn't change my existential ennui around it all :D
