RE: Black Panther, I did sort of wonder why Killlmonger spent all that time working with Klaue only to up and murder him at the last minute. He could've killed him at pretty much any time and presented him to Wakanda as proof of his worthiness so why work with him for so long then turn round and kill him at that precise moment?
I think the idea was that he needed T'Challa to fail to apprehend him to sow the seed of discontent amongst the Wakandans.
It was a bit hamfisted though.
They all already considered it a massive failure of his father to not capture him; he'd have been better taking out Klaue much earlier and off challenging the old king over it.
ETA: And ultimately it was his position as royal family member that meant the challenge was allowed to go ahead so Klaue's death was arguably pointless.
Nah, the only way he could get the 'army' onside, with yer man and his rhinos, was to show himself to be better than T'Challa. So he needed T'Challa to fail and then to succeed himself. That got him as far as the throne room with support, rather than potentially it all blowing up before then.
He could feasibly have done it before T'Challa was King, but maybe the opportunity didn't present itself, or he was preparing.
He was a good antagonist though, given that a lot of what he said was spot on, and in the end the good guys agreed with him about their own failures.
My one, 'huh' moment was when the reinforcements turned up in the final battle... like, they're fighting in a massive open space (yes, rocks and mountains, but you've got sightlines for miles in each direction), where the fuck were they hiding?
Also, the line about vegetarians was laugh out loud funny. As was the one calling Martin Freeman a coloniser.
