What's the best wireless controller for the switch? All of my joycons seem to be suffering from drift these days and it's driving me bloody bonkers.

Ninty will replace those fairly painlessly, apparently.

I thought that was a USA thing?

Gaz suggested paying the £15 for the repair kits but I think paying £15 for a kit to repair a bloody £60 controller set is offensive. Somehow can logically justify paying for a new controller though :DD
Really what you want is to get your joycons fixed AND buy the pro controller.

Good idea.

Cost me a fraction of that.

You do then have to cope with the annoyance of fixing absolutely tiny electronics though.
Yep, I fixed mine too. Mine cost nothing though as my wife's cousin works in a repair centre so he got me the parts.

You can buy the analogue sticks really cheaply on ebay and they're not difficult to replace. You just need a little patience and probably a magnifying glass.

I came here to post about XCOM2 after just seeing a Facebook ad about it.

About damn time.

It will mean I once again have an XCOM game on about three different formats, but will be worth it.

Space Invaders Invincible Collection came out on the JP eShop a couple of days ago, which interests me because I fucking love Space Invaders Extreme and it's included in that.

However, I can't find any info anywhere as to whether the user interface is available in English if I buy it from the JP eShop. Hnnngh.

I would assume you could navigate the options in Japanese anyway but :

https://www.perfectly-nintendo.com/nint ... -in-japan/

Is a page thats normally updated and says if there is english language available (so check in a few days)

This is the trailer for it and there is only a few shots of the interface but the score options look to be in english

I remember 'enjoying' the trial and error of working out the Ouendan and Ouendan2 menus on the dear old DS. Man I loved Ouendan, will there ever be another one? I mean Elite Beat Agents was fun too but i was all about Ouendan, perfect little pick up and blast kind of game.

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2020 ... ld-and-new

some say even in an all stars compilation..
Does anybody know if this is any good for this price?
Its the cheapest its been and I really enjoyed it - its a Xcom type game - turn based

The only negative i can say is that the first levels are easy and then you get to a point and it really dials the difficulty up , and when you lose a round you often need to go back a few levels till the last save point
I thought it was great. I really enjoyed it but I didn't have the same problems. If I failed a mission then I just restarted it.
Definitely worth it for £7.49 :)
I have a switch and animal crossing, how do I befriend you?

Put your friend code here and we'll add you and when you feel like opening your gates in the game, I'm sure some of us will pop by.

Ace! Been after that, thank you.

On a similar tip, if anyone has yet to play this, £3 odd is a steal.

It's abput the most often discounted game in the history of all gaming... certainly worth the asking price now

@mimi, think it would be fun with darwin play-a-long to.. since it is so bright... (it even has a coop mode, so you can help hom)

@zaphod, can't remember having that problem at all..maybe a difficulty setting?
Bought the DLC as well when that was discounted a few months ago.. donkey kong leads to entirely new tactics… but didn't really play that seriously.. to much shiny new stuff..

next week apparantly lots of AAA games discounted .. might plumb for donkey kong country..

It has been quite a while since I've played it but i remember a few matches where you get close to the end then it drops a lot of new enemies on the map and you had to clear them out without getting your energy back and when you lose one of those you get pushed back to the very start of the encounter.

I also am sure there were a few sets where you had to do whole sections with the same amount of energy so 4 maps - you start on the first with full health and you need to keep your players alive until the end of the 4th map but dont get fully recharged until that point (you got some health back as you went on but did not go back to 'full')

I enjoyed it. Hated the dlc though.
I got stuck on a mini-boss, went back a few times but even with tips couldn’t do it!
I didn't really like it, which is odd as I love that sort of game. I shall give it another go at some point.
Thanks all. I think I’ll get it as it seems cheap-o, but when I’ll play it with AC out, who knows.
It’s definitely worth that price. I think I paid £25 and got my money’s worth even without finishing it.
Death Squared is £1.79 at the moment, if you like couch coop platform puzzlers.
For anyone, like me, annoyed by the Switch's button layout the most recent OS release allows remapping of all controls. I've just installed it and switched the A<->B buttons around so we'll see how that goes.

Interesting. One reason I hadn't really dived into playing the Switch yet was because I've been trying to get through my PS4 to-play pile and didn't want to screw up my learning of the myriad MGSV controls.

That said, I wonder if I'd break my brain irreparably when trying to explain the new remapped Switch controls to my kids. And I wonder if the contextual graphics in the menu change to show you the correct button to press (like when you're playing the joycon as half a joycon*)

*No doubt there's a technical term for that which I don't yet know.
Fun thread! I've just worked my way through it. Actually a little disappointed to get to present day.

I have a Switch. I love it. But I think I need to spend more time playing games on it and less time buying games on it...

You can fix this by simply getting Animal Crossing and playing that - you wont need another game for a long time :-)

(first post on here in 2 years - someone get the nets)

I thought I heard the rustling of eyebrows!
Are you happy with the eyebrow magnitude of my Mii?

I just saw that. Your Mii is magnificent!
it doesn't portray the sheer 3Dness of your glorious ones.
