And yes I will probably re-buy Resi4 again (and 5)

Why? It's not going to be any better than the last PC version surely?

Is...is...is that your voice? Are you the Consolevania guy!?
If you're Rob Florence then I love your Rock, Paper, Shotgun stuff.
Although I doubt you are, because he was born in '77.
Playing RE5 with Grim... was legitimately the most fun I've ever had in a videogame.
Despite having a similar accent , no I'm not Rab
Resi5 came out last week , Resi4 will come out on the 30th of August :

One of the greatest video games of all time is coming soon to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Leon S. Kennedy’s intense mission to save the President’s daughter is a turning point in the 20-year-old horror franchise, and the title’s arrival on modern consoles is the perfect opportunity for fans to remember why it has stood the test of time, or for the uninitiated to learn where all the accolades come from.

Resident Evil 4, originally released in 2005, evolved the horror series’ formula in an exciting new direction, empowering players with unprecedented third-person aiming precision while defending themselves against hordes of clever new enemies called Ganados. Players could trip enemies with shots to the legs, or dial in headshots – sometimes with surprising and deadly results. Deep customization options permeate through the game, including a wide variety of fully upgradeable weapons, like pistols, shotguns, and rifles.

This potent combination of exotic weaponry and dynamic enemy encounters is part of why RE4 was not only incredibly innovative for the wider video game industry, but has stood the test of time. There are many examples of paradigm-shifting video games throughout history, but not all of them have the benefit of being as fun to play today as when they first released. Resident Evil 4 is one of the best examples of this rarity. This current release of Resident Evil 4 on PS4 and Xbox One includes all the bonus content from the original game, as well as additional features that were added in later versions. The mysterious and elusive Ada Wong stars in her own side story, which fills in intriguing story gaps from Leon’s mission. Mercenaries Mode – the addicting evolution of RE3’s bonus mode – is awarded to players who complete the campaign, providing hours of replayability and lets fans play as Wesker, Hunk, and more iconic characters. RE4 also boasts some of the most satisfying New Game Plus action ever, allowing players to bring their powerful arsenal, unlocked costumes, and other secret weapons into a fresh playthrough. Want to focus on yourself instead of protecting Ashley? Equip her with the knight armor costume and laugh as enemy’s attempt to attack her or carry her off with futility. Leon’s Chicago Typewriter – an insanely powerful Tommy Gun – also provides a fun power trip if you have enough cash to give the infamous Merchant.

Drowning RE4 with breathless praise is a fun pastime, but playing the game is even better. Get ready to return to this irrefutable classic when it releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One August 30.
I stated playing RE4 again, just to have a look, and somehow I've ended up as far as the castle so I guess I'm in this to the end now. Playing on easy so it's a bit less knuckle-biting and I don't have to sweat the ammo discipline so hard, although the auto adjusting difficulty level has ramped right up so it can still hurt me.

There's little differences in this port that bother me. There doesn't seem to be a noise when you hit a snake with the knife. The jitter on the pistol aiming is faster -- the theory is it's a 60 FPS issue. The game is even muddier and more desaturated than it used to be. And one of my favourite bits of dialogue, from Luis in the house siege, was missing! I was gutted.

Still a great, great game though.

Oh yes, and it has a cheevo for making it through the first village. Like Myp never did. Incidentally, I'd forgotten how the triggering point for the village worked, hadn't reloaded my guns, hadn't adjusted to the controls, and still did the village on my first attempt (on Normal; I restarted on Easy.)
I finished RE5 and I don't have an issue with challenging games in general, just RE4 threw me for a loop completely and made me panic whenever I played it.

I'm going to play it again now.
Hurrah! Now keep playing because it's great.

I'm a good chunk of the way through ReREmake and on my second play through of DR2 but after that sure.
I can't handle the flip screen stuff in REmake. RE4 has me jonesing to co-op RE5 though. And I have Revelations 2 hanging around too.
Happy to co-op 5 again, I really enjoyed that. I've also got 6 on PC but haven't touched it.
5 in co-op is a jolly fun game.

RE: Revelations 2 is brilliant. More people should give that a look.
RE4 out for Switch. £30.

I probably won't buy it for the fifth time. Probably. Maybe if I finish my PS4 playthrough first.
Double the price of the PS4 version? Man alive, Switch owners get a raw deal when it comes to prices.

Games have to be shrank to fit on such a small console. Small things are always more expensive. Ask DocG
I have the PC version which I've only just got past the first village on, so no guarantee I'll be able to do that again.
This is as good a place as any to drop this :
