Rocket League will be your favourite Bezzy Game [PS4/PC].

And if I may provide a little tip which, once I was made aware of it, made my game so much better: Don't allow yourself to run out of boost.

Whenever you have a spare moment or are already driving along the side of the arena, look for one of the six max boost panels. Switch off the ball cam and go for the nearest one or go back towards the rear if you want to play it safe. When you are lined up with the boost, switch ball cam back on while you move the rest of the way.

Also, using the forward kick while driving will give you a quick burst of speed unless you are moving slowly. Two or three in a row can often get you to top speed.
I'll get onto that as soon as I get the hang of hitting the ball when it's coming from above me :)
Online I'm losing more games than I'm winning, but I don't mind as it's just fun to play, particularly if there are some decent players on. Judging by my stats, I seem to be more about assists than goals, which just means I'm crap at shooting. ;)

That was really fun! not sure why my voice chat didn't come through the recording pipes though. :(
It did. I spent hours carefully editing it out.
What are you using for the video capture? I was a little disappointed that I couldn't export a saved replay out into a useful video format (on the PC version anyway)

It'll be the PS4 native software I guess.

If you have an Nvidia card, you can use Shadowplay to fairly easily record or twitch from your game - it's hiding inside Nvidia Geforce Experience.
I use OBS Studio, which is really quite good. https://obsproject.com/

That is rather more advanced skill, I would say.

Unfortunately, it would seem my graphics card isn't up to it.

Cheers. I'll give that a go. I've only saved the one replay so far - I've not exactly generated many highlights with my 'skills'. :)

It's only something that's started working consistently for me very recently, and I've played it a lot more than Grim...!

And I still sometimes do a hilarious miss.

'Sometimes'

I've not played with you very recently. :(

Fraps is another app that will do screen recording.
I found fraps to be deeply rubbish.
It was the one that used the least processing power, although it used the most drive space (but not HDD I/O). This was fucking years ago, though.

Otherwise, it recorded the screen okay, which is all I wanted it to do.
OBS seems really good from what I've seen so far. I probably need to find a better tool for chopping the video up after, but avidemux will do for now.

First attempt. A rather pleasing moment where I made a save and then set up the winner with a few seconds left. :)
Anyone up for this tonight?

Will be later on but sure.

My super popular Minecraft stream was done with OBS. And the university graduation, but that's irrelevant

Now?
Looks silly, I like silly.
Think I'll give this mode a pass.

DYSWIDT?
I can confirm that the Rumble mode is pretty mad and chaotic.
Rumble is fun! Silly good fun!
It's anathema for a Rocket League purist such as I!
Here's me christening the new arena with a goal!

Here's a great comedy team effort own goal in the next match!

I've unwillingly watched you christen enough things in the past to not be lulled into watching that video

What's that you say, you also want to see a pretty cool save I did? Sure thing!

For those who haven't bought this yet (on PC, anyway), it's on offer at Bundle Stars. £9.99 for the base game and £20.89 for the game and a load of DLC.
Anyone up for a bit of this?

Gotta catch them Halloween drops!
Brilliant two part documentary on the making of:

Yesterday, I managed to score what I believe is my first follow-through:

I have been practicing wall shots lately (in free training), and it does seem to be paying off:

Nice work! I've scored some decent goals lately but been too lazy to edit the videos.
That's some excellent work.
Come join the PC master race! Rocket League is on offer on Steam.

Meanwhile, servers are down. :S
Got this for the boys for Christmas - blimey it's a bit good

Yep!
What a great game. Just got it today.
Playing this a bit on PC now. I'm a bit rusty but my skills are slowly coming back to me. Just had a brilliant game where my team were 3-0 down very early on, but we brought it back to 5-3 before half of the game even been played. We ended up winning by forfeit at 7-3 with still a minute to play!

I've been playing it a bit lately after a break from it. I was more than rusty - I was a liability. Getting back into it though. It seems to take longer to find an online match now. Not sure if that's because of the additional game types or perhaps some folk have just got a bit bored of it now.

There were still ~20k players on competitive playlists and ~10k players on casual playlists when I was playing earlier. I was finding games instantly.
I seemed to have no problem finding an initial game, but when those players would eventually drift off, I'd just end up on a server waiting and waiting, meaning I'd have to quit out and find another match, whereas I seem to remember it jumping from game to game without much effort before. Only a minor niggle anyway. Not sure I'll bother with the keys/crates thing though.
Definite love/hate with this game at the moment. As I'm not massively keen on playing online, I usually play a game or two against AI and then venture online for a bit more variety. Had some great matches and also dabbled with the competitive rather than casual games, but god, some players take it all too seriously. The trash talk from the opposing team is to be expected, but it seems a lot of the time, it's your own teammates that end up being dicks.

Still, I'm playing it more than I'm using my Switch or Wii U, so that says a lot (ok, it says I perhaps shouldn't have bought a Switch just yet)
