Uncharted

I cant find an Uncharted thread so here is a new one :-)

Uncharted 4 is delayed until next year but last night Sony accidentally had an image for their music store showing the soundtrack to "The Uncharted Collection" , so that will presumably be Uncharted 1 , 2 , 3 for PS4 and should be announced soon (maybe E3 or possibly before)

Well worth the time of anyone who has a PS4 but never had a PS3.
The only thing that bothers me is that this might take resources away from the main game since (a) I've already played these games (b) I'm selfish and (c) I'm sick to death of remasters and the like.

But yeah, if you never had a PS3 you'll probably love this lot.
So I only played 1 on the PS3 and got rid of mine before the others came out but i'm faffing about with 2 and 3 right now because they are part of Playstation Now
7th October, and it's a different developer doing the remasters so shouldn't affect number 4.

This is free on the PlayStation store as part of the Stay at Home thing along with Journey.

First impression: this is tomb raider.

It's probably fairer to say that Tomb Raider is it, given that the recent TR trilogy started more recently and took a lot of inspiration from Uncharted.
The first Uncharted took a lot from TR, for sure. As I mentioned in my review for some website called "Up to Jump" when it came out, Drake even raids some tombs.
I don't remember the combat in Tomb Raider (The first) being quite so arse though.
I’ve started replaying this. It’s definitely one of the few games that benefits being played on “easy” as it’s more of a Boys Own Adventure. It’s simply more enjoyable as a romp — you’ll still die in some of those combat pinch points, but not so much that the only thing you’re taking away from the game is that the combat sucks

Definitely :this:
Just finished the Collection, I’d played 4 first... but anyway, yeah, good games but the combat lets them down.
I'm part way through 3. Feels faster than 1 and 2, and they're having fun with cinematic camera angles, which are largely effective though occasionally leave you wondering where the fuck you're meant to be going.

I just fled the burning chateau - fucking hell. On one hand it was incredibly intense. On the other, it was simply fucking annoying. Every leap you make onto the next rung on a wall, every time you're running up some stairs, you're treated to the ground giving way beneath your feet or the rung shearing from the wall. Which would be super cool a couple of times. But it felt very rinse and repeat for the 20 minutes the section took. Would have been incredible if they'd cut the whole sequence down by half.
