I've never had Netflix yet really enjoyed the first season. I'm sure you'll be just fine.
I'd have kept Netflix but they went all mad on their own TV series (which I have very little interest in), plus their film selection was crap and getting worse, as they were actively removing them on a constant basis and adding precious little that was decent - subscription cancelled.
The good lord Tweaknews will provide.

I just don't want to watch that much telly though, taking on a multi-season series is a big commitment of time, which generally speaking I'd rather spend playing videogames.
This is what outfits like Netflix don't seem to understand when they tout the fifty four million AMAZING ORIGINAL SERIES they've got available to watch - a lot of folks either don't have, or don't want to spend, that much time watching telly.
But BCS is exactly all of those things.

Indeed, but my commitment level for keeping up with TV series is one or two active ones at any given time.
X-Files, The Waking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, erm, and maybe some other ones I've forgotten. So when the new X-Files finishes its run, TWD and BCS will be back, for example.
I will do binges if the programme is good enough, TWD I brought myself up to date on and now keep up with. Dexter I stopped after four seasons though. Breaking Bad was another worthy one to binge on and then I was ready for the final Season Five.
It's slicing up a finite amount of leisure time and deciding what to spend it on I suppose, and my first love is videogames, so TV and film has to compete with that. I was up until 1:30am playing Witcher 3 last night, it'd have to be some pretty damn special TV series to supplant that.

Yup. I more-or-less only subscribe to Netflix for its own shows now, and I'm perfectly happy with that because it's a strong slate.

Wait, I have to go back to this. Are you basically saying here that because you don't watch much TV, Netflix et al are stupid for not realising that there's already enough TV out there so they should just show the stuff that already exists instead of making their own?
I mean, saying you stopped because you were only watching a few hours a week so not getting your money's worth is fine, makes perfect sense. But you seem to be saying that you stopped because Netflix are doing it wrong and have too many TV shows...

Aye that's about the size of it. They were pushing their various TV series very hard, and the film side of things seemed to be suffering, which didn't work for me as it was the films I was mainly interested in.
Peaky Blinders and some thing with Hells Angels and what-not, and the lesbian prison shenanigans. No sale.
Amazon are at it as well, we have that Amazon Prime thing, and now they're giving Jeremy Clarkson money to wank himself off. Tchoh.
I can see where Hearthly is coming from with this. It's easier to lose a couple of hours to a film then it is to a 10 part mini series.

Anyway, it's basically more of the same, so if you liked Season One (I loved it), then you'll deffo totes like this as well.

I watched it Hearthly and thought it was great. The guy with the car and baseball cards is hilarious!
S02E03 was more wonderful stuff, lots going on even with the small cast of characters.
Super-keen to see Episode 4 and indeed watch how the season pans out.

This and Breaking Bad are now some of my favourite shows of all time. The cinematography is outstanding, for one thing. Sometimes they get too far fetched, but they make up for it by being funny and incredibly well crafted.
BTW, since I watch very little TV and don't really keep up with it, I only watched these shows due to them being promoted by people on here, and that goes for Rick and Morty as well (which I also love), so thanks fellow Beexers!

They can't do too many. Jonathan Banks looks especially older than he did in BB. They're talking about extending it past BB though, which would be interesting indeed.
I love Jimmy and Chuck together though. Those scenes are always the best.

Episode 4 another absolute cracker, the last ten minutes in particular were grippingly exciting - the only downer with this is they just can't make them fast enough.
As myp noted a couple of posts back, Jonathon Banks is visibly older than he was in Breaking Bad (and he doesn't look particularly well either), but I'm cool with that as we know what character he's supposed to be playing, even if he 'looks' wrong compared to how he looked in BB.

I've just finished watching episode 4 and yes, I agree. It was cracking!
It's really interesting knowing where the characters end up, but it's fascinating seeing how they get there. We knew that Mike wouldn't do what he was hired to do, but how he got round it was ace.

On top of Hearthly's praise, I'd add this continues to be one of the most beautifully shot shows since, well, Breaking Bad. The very, very wide shot in the car park in Ep5 was just gorgeous.

I've resubscribed to Netflix, it just feels wrong to be *cough* acquiring Season Two of Better Call Saul when it's so damn good, you need to be paying for the good stuff.

I'm not caught up yet. But the cinematography is incredible. There is something in every episode that makes my jaw drop.
Re: Kim's awesomeness, let's talk about how both this and Breaking Bad have had flawless casting. Except for the people cast against type (ex-comedians Bryan Cranston and Bob Odenkirk), I don't think I'd seen any of the major characters from either show anywhere else. Yet so many of the actors were cast perfectly; from Tuco's barely contained psychosis, to Mike's world-weary professionalism, to Jesse's puppy-like excitability and eventual evolution into Walt's conscience, and now to Rhea Seaborn who is just enthralling as Kim Wexler.

And if I recall correctly, Mike was Steven Berkoff's henchman in Beverly Hills Cop.
And Tuco in My Name is Earl.
Hank was also in Total Recall, and amusingly Cranston was in the remake.

I saw a 'TEN CHARACTERS FROM BREAKING BAD YOU'VE SEEN IN EVERY MOVIE EVER' fluff piece on a website somewhere a few months ago, and for every single entry, even the most ubiquitous one (Hank, apparently) - I (a) Needed the benefit of pictorial evidence and (b) Was like, 'Oh right, really, I'd never have known.'
IIRC they were almost all very minor roles too.
Mark Margolis is getting a lot of TV work these days, presumably off the back of Breaking Bad. Although I've loved him in pretty much every Arronofsky movie for years.
He's Ace Ventura's landlord, too.
Edit: Although some of heavy references to Scarface in Breaking Bad are a little cheeky given that Margolis was in it.

I agree and it's a very good point. There isn't a single actor or actress that I can think of in both Breaking Bad and Better call Saul that isn't perfect for the role.
