Unfortunately when they showed what Parliament might look like if there was a GE and the national vote reflected the latest run of polls, he was one of the few conservatives still elected.
He's never been a minister, I think he's quite happy being an MP and will probably do that until he dies in job in 20+ years time

Though there was one young Conservative who said that what the Conservatives are good at is uniting in times of crisis. I thought for a second he was being satirical, but he wasn't. Newsnight certainly rightly calling to account. What has been in the past cautious gentle interviewing of smug Tories repeating mantras of 'what we must do' and 'we need to...' whilst allowing 'both sides' of the argument equal weight no matter how absurd the response is has shifted to a clear straight reporting of 'this is a disaster'.
