No, wait, this is doable. Mr Russell, you can stay at mine both nights if you want. Have you got an airbed? I've reserved a single one at the Argos near work if you haven't. If you want to come tomorrow, being here by or before 6-ish would be best. If you want to come Saturday, in the morning would be best.

But - everyone staying at mine and driving, bring pillows and a duvet. Probably a towel as well.

Any vegetarians? Currently I'm only planning on getting bacon in for breakfasts.

Hooray!
OK, I will come to this. Myp: put me on the yes list!
Bik, I'll aim to get to yours for Saturday morning, and forego the friday foodings. Don't worry about an airbed. I can bring the thinnest rollmat in the world.

Not superstitious are you? :p

To be honest, considering the other option is to spend 100 quid pecking at entrees and having to spit out your wine after each mouthful then I'm surprised there's not more.

The NCP website shows a couple of surface car parks to the south that seem to be around £5 a day.

Anywhere on my street, obviously the closer to mine the better. So long as it's after 5, you don't need to worry about permits. It runs into a one way system so I'll knock up a 'how to get back round' map.

Edit: Oh bloody hell, Google's got the one way system the wrong way round and other wrongitudes. Assuming you come in from Dane Road - Google Maps at least brings me in that way - and have to drive on way past my house:

Go to the end
Bear right at the small junction
Left onto the one way, follow it round
Turn right at the junction.
Turn right before the pedestrian crossing (onto Claremont Road I think)
Turn right at the end
Turn left onto Symons (right before the Sale Excelsior WMC) and go to the end
Turn right onto Dargle and go to the end

Either turn right back onto Harley Road or left onto Waverley if you can spot a space there. Park anywhere, including in front of dropped kerbs, but not on double yellows. As I say, after 5 and on Sunday no permits. If you have to go round again, park on Dargle or Symons, as near to my end as possible.

It's not as complicated as it looks once you're doing it, only takes a minute to come back around.

The Meatys - after you've unloaded this evening we'll take your car round to my dad's for the weekend. Trousers, Grim..., Kovacs, Russ - we'll sort you out as you arrive.

You were pretty quiet the other night after your four shandys at the beer festival, silent in fact, except when you kept waking up with a start thinking you were at home and asking where your wife was :DD :DD

Thanks mate... I will call when I am leaving yours...

I take it, that is it is only a tram to the city centre.

Yep. I think I put the instructions to the tram in a PM? It really is a piece of cake. Well, I still don't get on with the ticket machines, but I assume that's just me. Don't be tempted to jump it though!

Ah, the cheap all-day parking I'd heard about at work is £3, and it's near MEN so maybe a bit far to walk to/from Oxford Road. Might not want to leave a car there overnight, I suppose.

My boss has just suggested the possibility of leaving cars at work, a £3-each-way tram ride from G-Mex/Deansgate and with 24 hour security. When are parking-wanting-people arriving? In dribs and drabs or all around the same time? Be a pain to keep traipsing in and out for each arrival, wouldn't want to take the piss (or do that).

KC: We don't know where we'll be when you arrive, so when you ring after leaving mine I can tell you what stop you want.

We'll be arriving between about 18:30 and 19:30 tonight, and leaving at about 9:00 on Sunday.

This will confuse me terribly. Especially if I try to match up people's real names to forum names.

And are we going to play a real life game of Mafia or what?

Top 3 for me:

Kissyfur

Wildcards
Markg
