Everyone who is oot and aboot on Friday, be warned... you may have to walk quite a bit, because I intend checking out Fab first hand and possibly some bars in the Northern Quarter that may be worth a shout in the (probable) event of The Salisbury being too non-spacious/noisy/sweaty for our genteel southern friends. Think of it as sightseeing, you'll see another part of the city at least even if we learn nothing of use.

Speaking as a man who's read the whole thread, I reckon jeans and a tshirt are in order. I doubt we'll be going anywhere too fussy. Might be an idea to swerve the trainers tho.

I'm wearing trainers, I don't even own any shoes that I'd consider wearing with jeans. I have some black shoes that I wear with a suit for work and that's it.

I'm sure tshirts are going to be to upper body item of choice

I've only just thought to look up the parking details for this hotel. You get a 25% discount from the NCP Oxford Street car park, apparently, which is £16.90 a day before discounts. Is there anywhere cheaper?

I think there's a place by/near/under the G-Mex that's about a fiver a day. If I remember I'll ask at work tomorrow.
