but there again, Billie is at least a stage school brat. Allen is a.... I don't even know... product of Myspace? The very idea turns my stomach.

I suppose Rachel Stevens would be more comparable to Ms Wilhemena.

Well I always thought Billie would be good because she is a spunky feisty character IRL.

Lily Allen is a similar type of person but I am not sure she would want to do it anyway. Kelly Brook can't act as she has proven repeatedly and has no personality whatsoever. Rachel Stevens is lovely but quite shy, I suppose that could work alongside Dr Emo (anyone who saw the Sclub TV series will know she can only play herself)

As you say time will tell.

Rachel Stevens... nothing I've seen of her so far indicates she's capable of emotion.

Here's an idea though: Unknown actor for the Doc, unknown for the companion. Or a couple as suggested a few pages back

You clearly weren't watching the dancing thing. She's also lush.

Thankfully, no. I agree with the lushness, but most of time she has a smooth expressionless face. Like a fembot or sumfink, innit?

Also, I would like to see more of Kelly Brook and Rachel Stevens, preferably together. Scantily clad. Not as Dr Who companions though. Lilly Allen, although I loathe her, I could see that working.

Lily Allen would be like a younger Donna, so pointless. Also, can she even act?

Yeah, but they try to pretend that Doctor Who's not based in Cardiff. Perhaps Charlotte for Torchwood S3? It'd suit her potty mouth better.

I know this, I think it's more to do with London based actors not wanting to spend 9 months of the year in Cardiff - s'wot I was finking.

We're all missing the point really though. For this to work, this new kiddie Doc needs a firm matron like figure to slap him around, tell him to tidy his room and not spend all day knee deep in pizza boxes, soiled undercrackers and video games. It's a shame Hattie Jacques is gone, or whoever played the mum in that Ronnie Corbett sitcom, Sorry.

Lily Allen was in Elizabeth as a lady in waiting. It was produced by her mother though and also starred her brother.

Kelly Brook was really bad in a TV superman show. Possibly Smallville, she did look nice though which almost made up for it.

I think we should clarify. Mel was awful but Bonnie is an extremely talented actress who was woefully miswritten and poorly directed during her stint in Who. She is excellent in the audio adventures

So you think Billie was annoying and Bonnie Langford's a good actress. You need to get your brain fixed.

Not at all. Billie was by far the better companion, but Bonnie gets unfairly slated for her performance. It's rather akin to the old story of Anthony Ainley not being allowed to play the Master the way he wanted to until Survival. I hate the character of Mel, but lets blame the production team rather than Bonnie.

My mate once did a job with Bonnie and went to the pub with her and a few others afterwards. Apparently she is an absolute riot. Unlike, say, a certain loin clothed 70's companion who was just a grumpy old cow.

They say they want to sell it to America without editing, can't find where I got that story, thought it was Digitalspy.

In other news, lovely girl that Lilly.

I saw an advert on the tube pre-Xmas that gave a list of unwanted Xmas presents, including "The Sylvester McCoy Doctor Who boxset". Really made me furiously angry as not only does some of the McCoy era include some of the best stories the series ever did (Fenric, Survival, Ghostlight) but it was actually bloody offensive as again, it's hardly McCoys fault that the first half of his era was shite. The guy is a hard working and well respected stage actor.

Anyone who says McCoy can't act needs to see the drama Channel 5 ran on their opening night where he played a man who kidnapped a woman and keeps her hostage. Totally unrecognizable and it's surprising he didn't get more drama work off the back of it.

I suggest you have a good look at Lily Allen next time you see her full length. She has a magnificent set of thighs more suited to a Czech powerlifter, which I suppose may be your cup of tea.
