I've got 4 days next week, then a half day on Christmas Eve and then the Monday after Christmas to do this year, then back in on Monday 5th Jan.
User avatar
Workshy cunts, the lot of you.
User avatar
In relation to that 11 hour break thing, I'm pretty sure that only applies to regularly scheduled shifts, not interruptions to a break while you're on call.

But even so, that guy sounds like a dick. Don't be a dick.

Papers, Please has been released on the iPad. I'm sure I saw positive reviews of the PC version here so will give it a go.

The full body scanner nudity has been censored, which is mental.

Apparently a misunderstanding and it will be patched back in

Just talked to Apple. The initial rejection for porn was a misunderstanding on their part. They suggested I resubmit with the nudity option.

I'll make an update to restore the nudity over the weekend (default to off) and it should be available next week.

We're hosting the NCT group xmas party today. I need to do a booze run. Wife has hung mistletoe up for some reason. I see a lecture from her tomorrow morning about appropriateness.
User avatar
Tax return done! I know how to party on a saturday afternoon.

Apparently I owe £44...

Yes there will be words. Many words. Mostly due to drinking Trooper's skittle vodka. And dogging.

I'm slightly sceptical these are real precisely because they're so awesome: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page ... e&id=57740

The summary of that link is that March's theme for DC comics covers is a riff on older movies and the results are fucking brilliant. There's an extra dimension to them if you follow the comics in question of course but even if you don't the artwork is amazing.

Whatever day I'm going to have today, at least I haven't taken a load of hostages in an AustralIan chocolate shop and then proudly displayed the wrong flag.

Looks like they ended up storming the place to end it. No word yet on casualties.

Depends ... Were you acting for the claimant or defendant? ;)

Interestingly my client's accident was shown on TV. I can't really give out deets but I'm seeing whether he'll agree to do some press on it and see if I can get some local interest for my firm.

This month I have discovered two things:
  1. A nearby supermarket sells peanut butter.

I don't often go into Sydney any more, but I was there yesterday for work. I'd dropped father-in-law (visiting from the UK) off to have a wander round the city while I was busy so there was a moment of concern there.

I probably won't see that. If I were staying I would go but it'll be a dash for the earliest train possible.

Seems in the run-up to Christmas the central Post Office in Oxford are opening earlier every day except today. Will have to join the lunchtime queues then, and have my now-usual struggles with the self-service machine whilst people are looking at me.

I got a USB LED Clock Fan from my secret santa.
