Yeah we realised we didn't have you last night, however it was moot as we had a full complement anyway.

I got an early night anyway, had work in the morning. I think I'm up to 10 kills now in 7 hours played. It's a long arduous process.

Gregg has 2 kills in about 100 hours played so don't worry.

Anyway you need to adjust your mindset somewhat. It's not about charging around killing people. It's about choosing when to engage, when to run away and when to hide. I try not to fire a single bullet until we're at endgame.

I know how PUBG works. You can run in all guns blazing and die right at the start, or you can try to survive, know when to let cars pass etc... wait for people to come to you.

And throw smoke grenades at your squadmates

I just played the mobile version of this out of curiosity and you know what, it wasn't too bad! Granted I was playing on my GPDXD so I had physical controls but I enjoyed it.

I killed two and ended up in the top 35! (35th for those keeping score)

I might take a look at this on the Xbox or PC.

You may have a bit of a shock at the difference in difficulty. It's unconfirmed but there are suspicions up to level 10 you're mostly up against bots.

Although we will never say no to the Glandlords ranks swelling! Or you can play with Sat on Xbox.

He called the play which got us 5 kills between us.

He tends to misbehave on purpose when he's playing with us. Like lobbing smoke grenades at us and trying to do handbrake turns right next to us and knocking us over 50% of the time.

Had a go on the mobile game last night. It is far easier than the PC version as I finished rank #2 on my first go.

Either there are bots or there's tons of people who have never played shooters before. Both are plausible.

I'm impressed how similar it looks and feels to the main game, but it's hampered by touchscreen controls, obviously.

Oh nice! I've managed to kill one person doing that, but not three. Any reason why the video runs at 10fps though?

Oh! I thought I saw it come up 1, 2, 3 kills. Might have just been a trick of the choppy frame rate and watching it on my phone.

For the mobile version, there seems to be general agreement that your first few matches are filled with bots before it starts putting you into games with a higher percentage on players - nothing confirmed by the developers, though. This mainly stems from the insane number of people posting on reddit that they got 1st and 2nd in the mobile version, as well as all the enemies wearing the exact same clothes - I got 3rd on my first time trying it and the best I've ever done on PC was 35th. (In which, I didn't even manage to kill anyone....)

First go on my iPad. Accidentally chose squad play. Two of the squad died early on, but me and this one other guy ended up alive at the end. I got 12 kills and he got 6. I don't care if they were all bots—it was good fun. :DD

I've been playing a little bit on mobile, and it's good fun. I'm kind of amazed at the zomGFX my phone can display. Chews the battery though. I do tend to get flustered in a firefight, and more so with touch screen controls, it's easy for me to lose track of a button or to accidentally brush the firebutton on the left hand side of the screen. Myp, is the experience playing on ipad much different to a phone, in your opinion?

Still, I managed to win a Duo game with some randomly matched partner.

I find waiting around the crashed-plane lobby a bit boring, but have found minimal entertainment in seeing how many people will join in doing 'burpees' (crouch then jump) as we wait, there's usually a couple that do. The rest just seem to punch each other. Probably some sort of conclusion about human behaviour that could be drawn from this.

Yes, I think both are probably true at the same time.

Not much different. In a way it's more difficult on a tablet as all the controls are slightly stretched too far apart to be comfortable. It's better for seeing enemies though.

There are lots to do in the pre-game. Win the game, fly the plane, jump into the plane. Sat will tell you!

Punch myp, punch sat.

Those are the only valid options. Bonus points if you can summon a hoard to block then in a toilet and have so many people trying to punch them that not everyone can reach

PlayerUnknown himself hates people calling Plunkbat by its proper nickname, which is of course Plunkbat.

Should have come up with a name that isn't completely shitty.

Oh, Plunkbat, that's a good name, trips off the tongue far easier than PUBG. Not that I have ever said either out loud, but at least in my head, I shall refer to it as Plunkbat from now on.

I am irrationally annoyed by the fact that he's welded his own username into the title because it adds nothing (who gives a fuck who he is?) while also making it incredibly unwieldy and just flat out awful.

I was going to post a picture of Sid Meier saying "Shut it" but then I realised:

a) no one would recognise him
b) he's not a fair comparison
c) I agree with you
