It's gaming furniture. It is intrinsically linked to the purchase of the XBox.

(I added that a bit tongue-in-cheek TBH, I happy to remove it from the list if the consensus is that it doesn't belong. Even though it's definitely games-related expenditure.)

Having not entered anything this year, I can't really argue. I only asked because if I do get round to entering something I was wondering if I could count the tv unit I bought for the games room, but I've since realised that was the old unit and the new one went downstairs anyway

Well in my head I'm thousands of pounds ahead of the curve as I didn't get a new car, so this is just pocket change now and thus GUILT FREE.

And that is how you construct a world around you to fit a narrative you find agreeable.

Forza 7 and an expensive wheel and pedal rig could fit into that criteria as well...

You should join the PUB Glandlords to experience the game the way it's meant to be.

I don't expect you to do it foreign, :) but the prices are very "sterling". Is there rounding involved?

I forget what I actually bought this year and what's just been in a box since last year, but I think the list is:

Tv for games room <529>
Zelda breath of the wild <47.99>
Switch joycon charging thing <8.59>
Powerline adapters, so I could have internet in the games room <54.99>
Switch (of the network variety) <11.99>
HDMI switch (to plug in loads of consoles that I'll never use) <6.59>
VGA to HDMI adapter (so I can plug the Dreamcast in) <9.99>
What remains of Edith Finch <8.39>

I draw the line at including the sofa bed I bought to go in there, and there's some more Switch stuff to add but it's upstairs and I've no idea how to see my purchases history on the website, so that will do for now.

Apparently the way to find out what Switch stuff I've bought is to dig through my emails. Keep embracing the internet Nintendo.

Oxenfree <3.99>
Thimbleweed Park <11.24>

That's less than I thought (although as I still haven't played anything other than Mario Odyssey, that's probably a good thing)

I will also check out Radiant Silvergun.

Arcade games are where it's at, I have neither the time nor the patience for complex sim/strategy/etc type games these days, I need all that brainpower for my job. (Which as an old man is not what it once was.)

I'll still do WoW because it's a family thing, but basically, I just want to play cool arcade games.

Give me a HD remake of Burnout Revenge and I'll be all over it.

Eight quid?! Fucking hell, I'm pretty sure I got it for free on PS4 and Android and never played it for more than half an hour on either platform.

It's probably a special price for One X owners, to keep the riff-raff out. On a normal XBox One it'll be like, 99p, or something.

I had a look at Stardew Valley but even the trailer didn't make it look particularly appealing.

Twitch always seems to ignore the fact that I've renamed the stream on the saved videos, for some reason.

I always rename in the dashboard before I start streaming. It's the only reliable way.
