It is that, isn’t it? One of the better shows I’ve seen in the last year.

The last episode of The Big Bang Theory has Beth Behrs (Caroline from 2 Broke Girls) and the awesome Walton Goggins in it.

It’s another utterly crap episode.

It just reminds me that when Friends had cameos from stars and they did so much with them. TBBT is fucking garbage.

Walton Goggins is in The Big Bang Theory? Jesus, that's all kinds of fucking disappointing.

It's a Netflix show, so I don't know if it's available over here yet, but "On my Block" is lovely.

Done with the first season of Electric Dreams. It's very recommended for anyone who wants more Black Mirror. There are a couple of weak episodes (and the first with Robb Stark is one of the weakest), but overall it's pretty good.

Conversely I gave up on Electric Dreams after, I think, the Steve Buscemi episode because it was generally awful. None of the episodes had core ideas that were as strong as anything Black Mirror ever did and each of them just fizzled out into horeshit pseudo-endings. Really disappointing.

The Steve Buscemi episode might be the weakest, with the only positive point being the sexy android lady. I found the later episodes to be better overall, even though Ep3(The Commuter) is one of my favourites.

All of them up to and including Buscemi annoyed me in the same way so it had burned through any goodwill I had towards it by that point; I wasn't going to give it any more of my time.

That trailer works on me.

Anyway, in other US TV news, Santa Clarita Diet season 2 is out now.

We watched the first episode of Krypton last night which was OK if nothing special, and the first episode of The Crossing which shows far more promise.

Trailer

I'm absolutely loving this, unlike Jessica Jones Season 2 which I'm finding quite heavy going.

Santa Clarita Diet Season 2 feels like a direct continuation of Season 1, which is exactly what I wanted.

Season 2 of Santa Clarita Diet finished this evening, it's every bit as good as Season 1 and arguably a shade better in some regards.

Didn't actually realise I was watching the last episode of the season and was rather miffed to realise there won't be any more until Season 3.

(Which I totally assume they're going to make.)

What if I told you there was a show that was 60% Cold-War-style thriller, all spies and who-can-you-trust and talk in hushed tones about going over to The Other Side? What if I told you the show was also 30% Fringe and 10% Orphan Black? What if it also starred the always-watchable JK Simmons (the drum teacher from Whiplash)?

It's called Counterpart and so far it's very good.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counterpart_(TV_series)

I'd avoid spoilers if possible. The show is only revealing the weird details of the world it's set in very slowly and I suspect that's important.

I change my mind at least six times an episode which one of the four main cast members is best value. They're all doing amazing work though.

There's a very nice, quite subtle sight gag I hugely enjoyed [1] in episode one. Watch Drew Barrymore closely when she says "this guy threatened our daughter!"

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
She sort of twirls her finger all around when she does it, pointing to the various pieces of the guy that are now plastered over every surface in the kitchen.

[1] I had to pause the playback so I could stop laughing / breath again.

Am i and my wife the only two persons on earth who really like "Flaked"? It has Will Arnett, which is reason enough to not agree with all the negative reviews online.

Started S2 now and it's still as good as the first one.

It is indeed the point and to be fair, it's working. I intend to watch it.

Also... I don't have a PS4. Just an Xbox One and Switch from the modern era of gaming. I am however, just setting up a Mega CD though so you're more than welcome to come round and play that with me?

Totally this, there isn't a weakly written or acted character in the whole thing, it's pretty much pitch perfect throughout and you really get the feeling everyone's having fun with it.

I'm sure I've seen some of them come very close to corpsing on several occasions.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!

Yeah, really enjoyed the first episode. I wasn’t expecting a agent-hunts-vicious-assassin show to be routinely laugh-out-loud funny, but here we are.
