I don't think it sold well, which is a goddamn shame because it's brilliant. Bethesda's stupid no-advance-review-copies probably didn't help.

It was you that made me buy it from the praise you gave it on here. It slipped under my radar really, a bit like Singularity which I enjoyed but heard very little about on release.

Singularity was relatively low budget and had the marketing to match, but it was fucking awesome fun.

The demo for Prey left me cold. Thought it went off the radar due to the actual game being pap. So it's good then?

I loved the idea of Prey and the opening part of it's wonderful, but (from the demo) the combat can get fucked.

On a related note, I watched someone speed run it in ten minutes last night.

Demos actually put people off buying games. I thought the demo of Burnout Paradise was rubbish, for example.

Also I tried a couple of Switch demos of games I was interested and didn't end up buying either.

I distinctly remember finding the demo of Crackdown pretty crap, and that was anything but.

Always trust The Hive rather than a demo. Speaking of which, the other day I found the spreadsheet I did to pull together all the reviews (at that point) from the forum.

Enjoy - it's 9 years old. NINE FUCKING YEARS

Some food stuff in the <£4 PSN sale.

I just got Fez for £2.49, which is good as I've been hankering after it on the Vita for a long while.

I made the mistake of buying Shadowhand in the Steam sale yesterday. It's by the same people who made Regency Solitaire, using virtually identical card-playing mechanics. This time, rather than playing cards to navigate the chattering ballrooms of Regency England, you play a society-gal-cum-highway-woman.

Each level gives you the opportunity to level up your kit and powers, and generally ends in a duel where you must earn attack points by linking cards in typical Solitaire-style.

It effortlessly ate up my afteroon, which was less than ideal as I had lots on. But yes, it's great.

I don't actually ever play that genre on a console or my PC; I reserve them entirely for playing on my phone. Good looking out though. :)

The Flame in the Flood (Steam) is free at the moment. Apparently I already have it, so if you can't be arsed to go through the shopping cart bit to get it, 045M7-06J0J-YHKRK is a spare code.

2DS in Tesco Direct for £56. That's the cheapest I've seen them and probably worth a purchase if you're looking to get into the huge DS and 3DS library.
