I have decided to come along to this at the last minute. It’ll be just me as Russell and Darwin are having a boys weekend of drinking (milk) and gambling (or Duplo). I can’t edit that spreadsheet on my phone, but speaking to Matt and Carley and the rest of team ‘Games For Simple Folk’ I’m bringing Articulate, Balderdash and Cranium.

OH YAY! I must be hormonal because this just made me do happy tears :luv:

Aw, thank you Jem :luv:. I’m really excited as I’ve had a pretty horrid time of late and not only do I get to see loads of lovely people and Myp, but I also feel like I’ve beat this thing. It’ll be my first two nights away from my guys, and I’ve tried a driving lesson and will try more with people wearing shoes, have booked a haircut tonight (but have aquacise straight after, so it will have time to settle back into its usual crapness).

Oh, man, well that’s a let down. I was wondering who it was myself. I assumed the mystery person had been there ages as the name was so high up in the list. Forever a disappointment :(

It was originally Mr Chris.

Disappointment double-down.

That's fantastic Mimi, I'm so pleased you're feeling better.

Although is now a good time to mention I love driving barefoot?

I should be there about 5, my customer has called a face to face meeting in Sinfin (near the Asda) at 15:30. SO will grab beer and stuff and come straight there.

Bonus, I am being paid to drive to the cottage from home :P

Mark, are you taking trainers? Was thinking maybe a short run on Saturday morning if you're interested?

(Note: I said this in previous years and totally failed to do so.)

We got this tofu on lock, fans!

Actual serious question: does anyone not want us to cook them dinner on Saturday? We'll be doing chicken tikka masala.

Not even allergic, just intolerant. Eating more than trace levels of nuts leads to a certain amount of gastric distress and one or two weeks to completely recover.

Nope, they're just garnish, so we'll leave them off (or, rather, let people put their own on).

I am ever hungry. Me for dinner. Me.

Silly question but cam I get a confirmation on the exact address? Can't see it mentioned in the thread anywhere. I'll be rocking into Derby train station mid-day Saturday.

Not sure what fun things I'll be bringing, other than whiskey, wine and my X100F. Might bring a couple of cult movies, such as RepoMan. Ooh! Will I need to bring a sleeping bag and mat?

I've never known. I show up near the ASDAs, get blindfolded and thrown in a boot, then driven around for hours. Every single year. It's a 'joke' they have.

Stenson Hill Farm
Derby Road
Twyford
DE73 7FZ

It's not very well signposted off the main road, there's just a turn off through a wooden gate that leads down a very straight road. At the end of the straight bit is a "fork" - you need to go left over a rickety metal bridge, and then I think left at another fork to go down to the cottages themselves.

Alongside Go, I've always wanted to learn Bridge. I'd happily to take on all-comers at croquet too. And if you think it's a genteel game, you've clearly never thwacked someone's ball into oblivion and smiled as you've done so.

Bought a bottle of wine to accompany cottage related baking, as per tradition. I am now full of red wine and peanut butter buttercream and feel this is going to end badly.

Tomorrow!

I've been to Costco and instead of the normal pretzels, I've picked up some peanut butter filled ones.

Sorry Mr Dave.
