Finally got the drain smell in my new bathroom sorted out

After 5 weeks I asked my fitter to accept there was a "smell" (he smoked lots of roll-up cigarettes and could never smell anything)

Then I said once you are in this frame of mind go in there, look at it all and think what could be causing the smell.

It took him 20 minutes to see a fucking waste pipe that they should have removed and blocked up during the installation of the new bathroom

Bloody knackered, but doing so much of this event is brilliant. Really enjoyed taking money and stuff at the door, and data gathering. Think i have made new friends, too. One more day to go.

I was just pondering the way the record overlaps the perforations and it occurred to me that perforations on stamps haven't really served any purpose for years now.

I'm not sure about the point of second class stamps. At least with first class there's a slim chance the letter might arrive someday.

I'm as impressed they managed to frank it, round here we essentially get free stamps most of the time.

We've just been to Chiquito for our daughters birthday and what do you know? Because it's father's day tomorrow... Fathers get a free 3 course meal! I'm stuffed.

Fathers Day is generally a none event in my house as kids are too young.

Last night when I put my older boy to bed he went on the floor and pulled out a fathers day A4 card he had done at school from under his bed.

Then he said "here dad, happy Daddies day" Kept it quite all day and my wife was far to busy with the baby to have anything to do with his presentation so to speak so all his idea!

My faith in card holidays is restored!

At 7-45ish, The looney tunes theme played, then the band were introduced and smashed straight into It's So Easy. It was, thumping,loud, and brilliant. Mr Brownstone followed and this was everything I wanted it to be. The crowd loved the hits, but didn't really care too much for Chinese Democracy, nor the lesser Illusion songs. Live and Let die was awesome, as was knocking on heaven's door. Axl, Slash and Duff were the main players, Dizzy present and nobody really knows the other three. The energy was there, Axl's voice still is and, by and large it was superb. Everyone singing along to Sweet Child of Mine was brilliant and the Black Hole Sun cover was good. They finished with paradise city.

Would I watch them again? Yes,

I was at the Glasgow show last week and wasn't massively impressed. I mean it's all good illusions and whatnot but, I dunno, I was expecting a bit more. I liked it back in the day when they explained how the tricks are done but, despite referencing that by talking about how The Magic Circle won't let them in because of that, they never actually did it. It wasn't bad by any definition; it was just a bit meh.
