I couldn't go back to one monitor now, even though my secondary monitor mainly just has Skype running on it. I do have another couple of monitors but one has a Supergun attached and the other is sat in my bedroom not plugged into anything at all.

I concur - it's stressful enough that there's a basket of unfolded laundry in front of me :S

MaliA - we love the Grimm's stuff. Bloody expensive though!

I feel my desk is too tidy to be a part of this... Although it could do with a dust.

That's nicely zoomed in. I bet there's filth all around the rest of the room... Just like the rest of us.

No room for filth, the walls are covered in game posters and the tiny bit of floor space in that room has units to hold all my books haha

There is indeed. They are Microsoft, and are interested in helping you find the virus that you have on your Windows computer.

My desk is integrated into the main family room, there are other rooms in the house I could use but I like being in the same room as the rest of the family. (I know some blokes very much prefer to have an 'office' or a 'games room'.)

This has on occasion made it difficult to concentrate when I have to remote into work and do SQL shit or suchlike, but Mrs Hearthly is quite good at taking Hearthly Jnr somewhere else in the house on those occasions.

The chair is a deliberate choice, I just like a simple wooden chair with a thin cushion on it.

You will also note the amazing bespoke air filtration system on the window fan of my PC, which consists of a fan filter harvested from another PC, stuck to the side of the case with packing tape.

It's a hilariously geriatric PC (the case is twelve years old now), but I'm at the stage now where I'm curious to find out how long it'll last for.

Only one monitor, I keep kidding myself that one day I'll get a wall mount thingy in place on the wall somewhere on the left hand side, but that's never happened.

Oh yes it was my birthday not long ago hence the cards on the radiator.

But given that's your work PC, and not your gaming PC, presumably your gaming PC is in your 'games room'?

It's my gaming PC and my work PC, so if I'm working from home or remoting in when I'm on call, I'll use that PC.

As previously noted it has occasionally caused issues if I need to remote into work whilst Mrs and Jnr are noisily playing WoW or something on their PCs (which are in the same room), but that's very rare and we've dealt with it OK.

I have an untidy room in which I keep my PC's, also keep every bit of IT crap I've ever bought in there, found a GC I bought 12 years ago the other day.

Recently bought some IKEA desks and found I could fit 2 in once all the old crap was removed, the 2nd one in for my son and Mac mostly.

Much prefer to be out of the way room wise, but that may change if we ever update and extend the house as most of downstairs would be open plan and this room I'm in now would be a utility room,

Shorter term I'm decorating and putting in a new floor and door

If you right click and 'view image in a new tab' you can see it the right way round.
