Just done Equinox 24. It is a 24 hour race, the course is 10km.

We had a team of 6. We did 26 laps, I managed 4.

Was great, only managed 2 hours sleep. I can only just walk today.

Did the maths during a rest period at the gym the other day that during my deadlift I generate about 1.4 horsepower. Working out has made me stronger than a horse! Equal to one normal horse being helped by one tiny little adorable pony, to be precise.

:D Hopefully each week I'll raise my level a little, so next time it'll be a horse, an adorable pony and, say, an otter.

Went on the scales a couple of weeks ago, not bothered to weight myself much prior to this, but was feeling my trousers getting tighter so knew I was going the wrong way.

I was 4lb off gaining the 29lbs I lost between August and early December last year :(

So changes straight away, joined a gym. Still do steps in the week but its getting really hard to keep it up at weekends as my boy is 3 now and I can't just stick him in a buggy and walk around all weekend, his tastes on what constitutes a good time with his dad have changed :)

With the gym I go 3-4 times after work and for now do 30 mins of running plus 5 minutes cool down. If I'm in the mood I'll do 20 mins of walking as well.

Aim is to get to 1 hour of running in the 10-10.5 minute mile range building up each week.

Had no trouble doing 30 mins aside from some pains as I'm really bad at stretching .

So far its working lost 8lbs in 2 weeks so moving back the way I want it to.

I always find I loose this sort of weight when I start or step up exercise is the first few weeks. Then its usually 2lbs a week.

Finally beat my 10K PB from about five years ago last night and also got round twenty seconds under 50 minutes! That was definitely all I had, though.

Logged in to myfitnesspal yesterday because some random person had sent me a friend request, and ended up looking up historical weigh-in data out of curiosity (knew I'd put on a few lbs but wasn't sure how much). I've put on 20lbs. Twenty fucking pounds. It's no wonder nothing fits me at the minute. Really cross with myself for undoing shit loads of hard work. Some of it will be muscle gain because I am much stronger than I was at my lowest weight but not bloody 20lbs worth.

Decided to start actually using MFP, and I'm going to start doing my home workouts again. I am currently 175lbs. I have a rough goal weight of 150lbs in mind, but the key is to get back into a size 12 without feeling like I'm going to die from blood/oxygen restriction. I want to achieve this by my anniversary.

Posting here for accountability.

Good plan. I lost 15lbs last year and by the New Year I'd put 12lbs back on. Back down to 200lb now, still 7lb up on my lowest last year. Softball season starts soon so that will help.

Are you still low carbing? I've noticed myself drifting towards lower carb intake - not deliberately, just as I bring up my protein levels to support the workouts I've been doing my appetite for carbs has gone down.

My main source of calories up until recently has been alcohol but I've been cutting down slowly since new year. I'm hoping that by actually using MFP I'll realise how much I drink without realising it :S

Mostly... sometimes failing. Beer is my downfall.

I find the booze easy to avoid, but I need to get out of the habit of weekends of takeaways as they keep undoing my general good behaviour during the week. :(

Back at the gym now, stopped due to Christmas hols and illness, but thankfully I'm able to do the program at the level I left off. Actually increased my resistance stuff this week too.

Down to 80kg and still 33" waist, still plenty of belly and moob fat to shift but I'm getting there.

We have at least one takeaway most weeks. Need to get out of the habit of this too - especially since they're often cold or disappointing in other ways. Need to get better at keeping quick foods in the house that I can just throw on a plate when I'm feeling lazy, rather than outsourcing it and paying for the privilege.

Yes about 30 mins at a time, need to build up.

Cycling and swimming at the moment.

Do you have limits on what you can do at the gym?

Like, the doctor has said so?

I am very good at avoiding traffic early in the race actually. I'm the official team first-stinter. ;)

Yeah, not by the Dr though, by the team of nurses / physios I saw in my recovery stage. I had to complete a 12 week exercise course twice, once after my heart attack and stent and then repeat it again after my surgery. After this I was referred by my Dr to the physiological team at the council run gym(s) who gave me a suitable program. There's things I was told to avoid like lifting above my head and press ups, anything that involves exertion and holding my breath too long.

I've gradually increased the time on the cardio equipment and increased weights on the resistance machines* every time I think I can manage it but I know to take it steady.

Ta Kov, I'm surprised by how much I enjoy it (thought it would feel far much of a chore). But the combination of getting a sweat on while watching Car SOS and listening to Techno is a sweet, sweet combo. :DD

Down 3lbs in 4 days. I know that's "big poo" and/or "water loss" territory but really nothing has changed (eating the same stuff) - apart from the fact I haven't had a drink (alcohol) all week. Got a wine tasting with girlfriends tomorrow even though, so could end up undoing everything I've done well this week. :DD

I've been eating and drinking less by association, so I'm down half a stone since Christmas.
Just need to lose another stone and I'd be really happy.

Ran 4 miles to gym. GYMED HARD. Walked home. If that doesn't buy me some wine calories then fuck it all to hell.

5lbs down since the 1st. Did wine tasting, managed to moderate input. Went out on Saturday, danced like a twat all night but DIDN'T DRINK A THING. Achievement unlocked!
