At the moment I can't stay logged in if I use beexcellenttoeachother.com but it seems to work okay if I use www.beexcellenttoeachother.com

Colour me confused.

Oh, now I'm fucked off.

I've been having to delete my cookies each time or I can't log in - just logs me out again. This isn't a problem I ever have with any other sites.

Today, when going again to delete my cookies, my fucking optical mouse decides to have one of its little twitchy moments and jumps to the delete all cookies button instead.

I've got paid football commentary coming this afternoon, last game of the season, make or break, and can't log into the site now, because it insisted on some obscure password and my security answer is impossible because they won't tell me the question.

Fucking fucked off :(

This.
The .com forum address logs me out every time, but I've managed to remain logged in by using the .co.uk version.

Hmmm,

This just happened to me again (at the home pc). It happened when I clicked on this thread! I guess that's a tad ironic!

Fixed by deleting just this sites cookie.

I'm currently having to delete the cookie every time I visit the site, and sometimes during sessions. Firefox/Mac.

Grim... is away for a couple of days (I think we can all agree he deserves the break!). But carry on posting your issues here as the more information you can give him the better.

Just wanted to let you know that your cries aren't being ignored and thank you for your patience while we(Grim...) tries to rectify the matter.

I think they key thing to remember, is that if you're having problems even after clearing your cookies, you must be using a shit browser.

I refuse to believe anything else.

I don't know how, but it looks like I've finally managed to log in today. I've had a mighty frustrating time over the past month or so. Is this properly fixed now, I can't believe I'm the only one who's been having problems and been unable to sign in to tell anyone about it...

It was properly fixed until I heard you couldn't sign in at all.
Um... Oh. There's a contact method on that login page, isn't there?

Whereas I'm the opposite. If I sign in with IE, I keep getting logged out, but if I use Firefox then I'm OK.

I deleted the cookie on Mozilla and it now works. This is happened before however where I can stay logged in for a bit and then cannot, so I'll keep you updated.

I get that once every few days also (firefox, but different versions on different machines). Deleting the cookie fixes it.

All those people having trouble logging in - have you tried checking 'Always log me in when I visit' or whatever it says? I doesn't do what it says (for me at least), but it does keep you logged in when you leave the login page and go to the index. Hilariously, I now don't seem to be able to log out, but I'm not so fussed about that.

The forum is playing up for me in Safari, today.

I have deleted cookies, and I can usually get the site to initially load, but when I want to post a reply I get the reply screen and type my message, but on pressing to submit it starts to load the page and then just sits there, not moving. I'm not having problems with any other sites (though WoS is down for me, but I think someone said it is having issues), and it is working fine in Firefox.

Gah. That's not cookie-related, and it's working fine in Firefox, you say?
This might be a tricky one for me to troubleshoot...

On the subject of WoS - invisionfree have been replacing/upgrading all the forums to ZetaBoards, if I understand the situation correctly. Might be due to that. sWoB, for comparison, is timing out but not giving a definite error message like WoS.

Yes, it seems to be working fine in Firfox.

I just tried again in Safari and it worked, but it has been doing this on and off since yesterday for me. Safari is fully up-to-date but hasn't had any updates in a couple of weeks, so it's not something that seems to have happened because of an update itself. It was happening on my desktop yesterday morning and is also happening on my laptop.

It might just be one of those things that settles down. I'll leave it a few days and see if it is still happening, but it seems to work OK for me on Mozilla for now.

Somewhat relatedly, I do strongly recommend Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1. Your Firefox auto-updater won't pick it up. It's markedly faster for me, as though I'd upgraded my PC, or freshly installed Windows. All but a couple of add-ons work fine still for me.

Best of all, you can use it without deleting your old Firefox 2. Just close Firefox 2 before you start Firefox 3, and you can carry your profile across, with all your bookmarks and saved tabs.

Much as I am happy to have a browser discussion folks, it'd be great if it wasn't in this thread - leave this for people with problems logging in, as they are quite 'high priority'.

I have provided a solid (if odd) solution to this problem. I will be sending a mass email later to inform anyone that is still having login problems.

Info in the first post: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=516

Yes, you will do if you uploaded it. I'll be setting up a cron job on the server soon to fix things like that.
