What?

Quite possibly the best series yet.

Annies powers seemed to be whatever fit in with the script that week.

George became a 3rd rate chuckle brother.

Count Dickular became a greasy Emo twat.

The new Werewolves were ok, that was about it.

I enjoyed the last series of Being Human, apart from Nina.
As the next series seems to be all about the poison dwarf and her puppy, then I can see where the Z man is coming from.

My only qualms with the next series are:

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Mitchell and Herrick were easily the best characters in it, and they're both dead now

Friday Night Dinner is the best sitcom since Trailer Park Boys.

I'm not sure whether this is praise or condemnation.

Either way, the trailers for it looked atrocious.

I agree ("I'm the Green Bastard!"), but FND looked woeful, so I wasn't sure if the entire post was ironic.

I should expand on what I said. It is early days, but FND is pretty funny. I haven't laughed as much since series six of TPB. It is a very different beast though. The trailers don't do it justice.

Good to see some TPB love here - whenever I mention it, hardly anyone has even heard of it.

It's a difficult show to sell, too, even if you make someone sit through a couple of episodes.

I doubt I'll ever laugh as hard as when seeing Julian's hand emerge from an upturned car, holding his signature glass of whiskey, completely unspilled.

Wow, and I thought I was the only person in the world who'd ever heard of Trailer Park Boys.

I really need to watch more of that at some point. Might have to visit a reputable online retailer of legitimate copies of television programmes.

I rewatched my DVDs last year. I laughed most at the episode "High Definition Piss Jugs" (season six, I think. Might be five). There is just something about "piss jugs" that made me laugh. TPB deserves its own thread, really.

Only seasons 1-6 have been released in the UK. You'll have to import season seven, the specials and the films, or use your online retailer.

I like the easter eggs on the DVDs, like if you play all the episodes you get an additional scene at the end.

I haven't watched it in such a long time and I only ever really used to watch it if it happened to be on Paramount when I was channel-hopping, but it always made me laugh. In particular, one episode that sticks out in my head was a gun battle when some crims got out of jail and went to the trailer park to collect some debts - cue Julian diving in and out of cover, taking shots with gun held in one hand, whisky glass in the other. That glass must be unique as gags go as it never seems to stop being funny.

Are people still watching Being Human?

I think the episode from last week was possibly the best one so far from any of the series. Amazing!

The guy who plays Herrick is my favourite actor on TV at the moment.

I've now caught up with Being Human (at least the UK version I still have the US version ready to go) and agree , Herrick was one of the best things about this series despite not really being in the first few.

I also agree with Doccy G's comments about Mitchell I think they could have played up his struggles with his conscious or gave him a bit more of a fleshed out goal.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
I get the 'want to be punished but not sure how' but a lot of the things he did don't make much sence looking back (including virtually all his interactions with the welsh vampires)
I guess the ending is the way it is so the actor can go off and do other things but we know death isnt really death in the show despite whats been said and since the 'old ones' can do what they want who's to say the next season doesnt start with that guy punching George and a splatter of blood hitting Mitchell's remains reincarnating him

Hurrah!

This pleases me muchly.

This week's episode was just as excellent as the first one. A real treat. I really recommend everyone listen to it (although it's Radio 3, full dress or evening wear is not compulsory)

Oh, and I have saved a copy of the earlier episode ['for timeshifting purposes' -Ed.] as it's not available as a podcast.

Anyone watching Monty Don's Italian Gardens on the Beeb? I know the Eye-ties are a bunch of reverse gear, bribe taking, greasy Lotharios, but my dog, they know how to create truly stunning gardens.

The Dam Buster programme on Channel 4 provided some of the most exciting TV in years. Fantastic stuff, the star of the show being the (obviously hard drinking going by the nose) Canadian pilot.

Plus it had stuff blowing up.

I'm so gutted I missed this, Is Channel 4's Internet Player any good?

My recently deceased grandad worked with Barnes Wallace on the bouncing bomb, so these programs really interest me.
