Did you push your hand on to her face and wrap your fingers around her head at any point during coitus?

If so, you are my new hero.

No you haven't.

Although I doubt any sofa in our house is entirely innocent.

Or work surface, for that matter.

That's only cool if you actually bellowed "INGERLUND!" as you climaxed.

Without the big egg-maturing egg sac she's laying nothing, surely?

THEORY: While "piloting" the drop ship, Bishop was in fact raiding the nest (or even the crashed ship), having pressed the "land" button and let the 200-or-whatever-years-in-the-future autopilot do the rest. Dun dun dun.

For about 5 seconds! He could be super-fast for all we know - his hands are certainly quick enough; why wouldn't his legs be?

It's a good point. I'd pay money to see a scene of Bishop speed-running from the colony to the derelict and back, just so that I could overlay Yakety Sax on top of it.

Of course, a facehugger or two could have gotten on board after Bishop had landed the dropshop on remote while he wasn't looking.

Hows about this:

Bishop lands at the refinery, lets Ripley off, then as soon as she's out of sight, pilots the dropship to the derelict, and grabs a couple of eggs, then flies back just in time to save her.

The eggs would open up due to all that movement I think. Unless they are only triggered by organic things.

I don't want to think of Bishop as evil. Although Bish2 was (presumably) although he was human in Alien3 but then AvP came along and shat all over that. With big stompy poos.

I read that as "Androids can't jump" and thought of Bishop playing basketball in a spin-off film. :)

According to IMDB the one plot point so far of Alienminusone is "In the year 2085, the Yutani Corporation meets with Weyland Corporation to discuss terraforming."

I don't think I want this.

I mean don't get me wrong, if it's good I'll spawn deadly eggs everywhere but I think Alien was a perfect beginning, in terms of any human interaction, to the series.

Prior to the first movie, the only human story would be the company picking up the signal, decoding it and sending Ash and the crew out for retrieve-o-larks.

If they are going to start writing a new history, this could end up being a Terminator style mess.

The prequel is supposed to be primarily about the Space Jockeys, I think - which will be interesting, as it could mean we get an Alien prequel with no Aliens in it (Aliens with a capital A - obviously the Space Jockeys are aliens too, but not the Aliens.)

The Space Jockeys being the species of the dead chap in the ship the Nostromo finds? Perhaps the film will be about how the Space Jockeys met the Aliens?

Because an Aliens film without Aliens would be stupid. End of.

According to the Dark Horse special edition the Space Jockeys are

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
pricks.

They use the aliens to kill civilisations and then they kill the aliens and move in on that planet. After terraforming it. Obviously that backfires and the Space Jockey on LV426 comes a cropper.

Also, Ripley is being telepathically controlled by them as well.

If the prequel was mostly about the SJs and their dealings with the aliens (leading up to the events on LV426) then that could be okay.

If they crowbar in some shit human element (and let's face it, they'll have to) then it could be awful.

Isn't the Mala'kak name non-canon though? The Aliens Wikia thinks so, as it's only used in one novel:
Quote:
the only canon appearance of the Space Jockey is in Alien and its novelization and directly related works
Apparently the comics gave them elephant like trunks because some fucking idiot didn't look at Geiger's model closely enough.
