RIP Owen. Good if traditional send off, which I suspect is testament to the fact that it was both sudden and a huge shock.

Great to meet some of the people from UGVM and Zio from here. I've washed my hand after shaking his.

Why do I have a sudden desire for custard and grapefruit? Am I iMPReganaT3d?

@Meems. Can you PM me Jen's email address so I can get it to Choobs on UGVM, she wanted to thank him for his blog post.

As zardoz said, it's great that some of his friends from here could go, but what a sad occasion :(

This 39.58 version of Blue Room is absolutely fantastic.

:DD Nice to meet you too dude. See you again in nine months!

I thought it was a lovely service and - considering it was in a church - very respectful for the atheists in there (the Rev himself was, of course).

But very, very sad.

Something just this minute reminded me of a thought I'd had years ago (that it would almost be worth going to prison for the relief of getting out), when I remembered that the person who had responded in concurrence was The Rev. I'm a bit sad now. :(

Glad to see he had a great turnout.

Hi folks, I'm Thom, Owen's brother.

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks to you all for the kind words, love and support you've shown. It has helped us, the family, more than you'll ever know. We always knew what a great guy Owen was, but to know that so many other people knew it too means a hell of a lot to us.

Also, I have inherited his Xbox and PS3 so I thought I should warn his gaming friends that they may see him log on to Xbox live or the ps3 equivalent, don't panic/get excited, tis only me.

Thanks again, very much

Hey man. Hope you're doing okay.

Perhaps you'd like to log into the Beex Minecraft server and take a look at some of the stuff Owen made?

Hey Thom, feel free to stick around. We're a nice bunch, and once you get over the puppy like licking Zardoz will want to give you on a daily basis, you'll almost certainly learn to like it around here.

When you get up and running with Owen's consoles and get new tags, make use of the bulk friends list importer Grim... created for this site. We regularly play together as well as eat and drink in actual person!

You will require a paid-for version of the Minecraft client in order to log in to the Beex Minecraft server [subs, please check], but then your brother would have already had one of those. If you know, or can find out, his Minecraft username and password, you'd be able to download the client from http://www.minecraft.net without the need to pay any extra.

Owen's stuff is amazing, by the way, and he kept telling us about little secrets he'd put in there for us to find.

If you post in a thread, it jumps to the top of the forum.
For some reason, that's known as bumping.

(This one is "pinned" to the forum so it always appears at the top. We're going to unpin it at some point).

Hi Thom, really pleased you've made yourself known on here. Hopefully we'll be seeing you on the 360 soon once you've figured it all out. And if you can't figure it out, that's what we're all here for, just ask mate.

We're going to un-pin this thread from the top of the forum now, everyone. It's now linked from a permanent note in the page footer.

I thought some of you might want to know Owen's nephew was born this morning, his name is Luca Owen Neal. I shall call him Og, which is the nickname we always called Owen.

Aww, thank you for posting that. If he's even just a small portion of his two uncles he'll be a great lad indeed. :)

I swear I am beginning to notice a pattern. Whenever some one dies there's usually a baby born in the family.

It was running an old version of Wordpress without recent patches, its been like that for a while but i know the Doc has a backup and 'will get round' to fixing it

I also have an offline backup of it which i grabbed the last time it went down - I keep meaning to upload it somewhere but its quite big and i'm not sure where to store it (maybe a communal dropbox)

Plenty of room on the Beex server.

I'll have a look at file sizes and see about uploading it - i'm pretty sure its just one large ZIP (or RAR) file - after the weekend if you want to point me to someplace i could upload it, i will , in case anyone else wants to keep a copy.

Okay - backup file is 600mb , rather than upload as 1 600mb file i've used QUICKPAR (http://www.quickpar.org.uk/ ) to split this down into smaller chunks so they can be uploaded / downloaded easier and i'll add a few par files in as well in case the upload goes a bit odd , even with that its probably still going to be slow so the files will slowly show up in the next post however dont grab them until I've said they are all there and working.

When they are uploaded you can join them with whatever program you want and then unzip them , you'll end up with a folder called Inverty and in there is an INDEX.HTML file you can open and then browse the website locally.
