What happened to the old channel?

It started to get a bit too close for comfort in the IRL/online crossover stakes, especially with some of the comments that were being left. The online slots content was the worst for it in honesty, I did a video about a fake money online casino streamer thinking it would just get the usual few hundred views and it ended up doing nearly 200K and generated some, erm, 'interesting' input.

The new channel has comments disabled on all videos, and is dedicated to fruit machines/fruit machine emulation.

This is one of the more interesting (sort of...) new videos, where I use virtualisation to 'rewind time' on a VM running the emulator and prove that Betcom fruit machines cheat by showing you 'fake boxes' on the Deal Or No Deal game.

Yikes. Are you not concerned about "proving" that machines are cheating?

They'll be well within the legislation in terms of what's allowed, compensated machines are permitted to get up to all sorts of nefarious shit. (Such as unwinnable hi/lo 'gambles'.)

To the man on the street you'd say it's a cheat, as far as the regulations are concerned, fair game.

So I totally get the 'they have a little sticker now so they can cheat you' or the

"At times this machine will offer an option which its not possible to win" , or however they phrase it but the cheating in that video is nothing to do with that , its just cheating for cheating sake.

At the point you either deal or no deal , the game is over , its just trying to rub your nose in it going "You could have had this" , and the only reason I can see for it is the psychological hit for 'you should gamble more because you would have won'

I cant see any reason why that would be allowed , even with your devils advocate hat on saying there will be something in the rules , I really dont see what the justification for it could be.

Oh for sure it's absolutely scummy as fuck, and entirely designed to pray on the gambler's psyche that they made the 'wrong' choice and a better win was available if only they'd chosen differently, and of course to suggest that the machine was prepared to offer a substantially higher win than it was in reality.

I'm just saying that from a strictly legal standpoint they'll be covered, but from a moral standpoint it's pure twattery, especially as they're taking a known DOND game formula (which doesn't and can't cheat you on the 'box reel' BFM iterations), and corrupting it into something different, whilst ostensibly presenting it as the same thing.

Betcom don't even exist anymore they went bust, the compensated fruit machine is basically dead now, certainly in the traditional 'reel based' format (Betcom were the last company making them), to be replaced by digital units connected to the internet. There are still plenty of traditional fruit machines left out there, but as they stop making money or break, they're being replaced by digital units. (Next time you're in the pub have a look around for the machines, they'll probably have screens on them rather than containing physical reels.)

Also whilst proving that they cheat from a 'man on the street' perspective, they're not doing anything that breaches the legislation they operate under, because the legislation is shite.

If you want to see how to spend £180 the quick way, here's the rather unedifying experience I had on a random £500 jackpot machine in the pub the other day.
