I had a disk space message yesterday when just posting text. It didn’t reject the post but flashed momentarily at the top of the page when on desktop. I did try to replicate it and it happened again but it is too brief for me to get a screenshot.

As you were all so beastly about my lovely duffel coat I bought a new anorak today. I hope you are all ashamed.

Awesome, because I have been waiting to tell everyone that I bought some potatoes. I’ve chosen four varieties this year: Desiree, King Edward, Wilja and Salad Blue.

The rock and roll years are continuing.

Can confirm that Yukon Gold is a good variety, from the dozen or so tiny ones we got (like everything else last year, the crop of all the potatoes was pants).

We had a great potato harvest last year. Maybe too great really, as it ended up being far too many. I still have a load in storage. We grew Jazzy last year 9as well as some Charlottes) and they were excellent.

Yep, not seen one in person yet, but I did test ride the older model and it was great fun. This looks a whole other level of design though, so I’m really looking forward to it.

I'm just confused about why a festival at a castle is called "hospital festival".

There aren't even any hospital-related activities listed, there could at least be gurney races or something.

Some of their bikes have been works of art but never really what I wanted to own, though I’d considered a Monster back when I bought a Hornet.

On bikes: My father dropped his Bonneville America yesterday. I was quietly amused when he described the cause of the incident as "cold tyres". Thneurtwr hooligan was going so quickly he was able to step off the bike and stay on his feet.

For all the use it gets, I have suggested it gets traded in and he buys a 916. Might as well have something pretty in the garage.

D'oh!

I've got to decide whether to keep the Vespa as well, or sell it and free up the room. I suppose it'll depend on how much multi bike insurance is.

No need to keep both, a Ducati Scambler is basically the same as a Vespa. All Vespa's have a sub 5 second 0-60 time.

A refurbished Haworth Zody - work would like the ones everyone took home during the apocalypse back, technically I don't need to as I work from home 3 days a week but I fancied treating myself (I might be able to part-expense it, I'm not really interested as if it's all mine I can, say, start sitting in it in just my pants, anxiety-free).

The irony is that I fell over between ordering and receiving and fucked my back, so even if I hadn't had to get it swapped out for a fault I still can't actually appreciate it properly.

Surely - surely! - this will get me hobby coding again, where the Surface Pro, standing desk, 30" UHD monitor and speakers/sub didn't?

Hopefully none of the h&s/environment people from work are members, they'd shit the bed over that trailing cable, especially if they knew it had a 2kW heater on the end of it. Shh.

Do you actually want a broken one? I’ve kept them as I was going to smash the flex/bulb fitting out of what was left, but if you can do something better with them just pop me your address and I’ll post all the bits to you. All bits of both lamps are together in one box so you’d have to work out what goes where. I did think of epoxying them back together and spraying them bright pink if one didn’t actually turn up looking decent :D
