A really loud, really fast jet just went over Ivybridge. No point in going to look for it, it's already gone, fast!

The after rumble lingered for a good 30 seconds though.

Thanks.

Great birthday. No property damage, no flooding, nothing at all blown over in the garden.

With hindsight, I should have booked an extra day on holiday.

Flight was fine yesterday until we crossed the channel and things started getting pretty bumpy. First time I've heard the cabin crew remind passengers to read the safety card and not take luggage with them etc in the hour before the approach, not just the safety briefing. Felt a couple of very sharp turns too. The landing at Gatwick was pretty sudden, sharp, and fast but at least we landed. Most of the passengers started cheering. Normally I'd cringe but it felt appropriate.

Of course, all the train lines I needed were blocked, but just made it onto the right Oxford bus and by then the roads were cleared of trees.

Glad I had my holiday however. I really needed that winter sun.

https://www.expressandstar.com/news/env ... t-shaking/

It was a weird one. It was the first where I’d ever experienced hearing it before it shook, but we are right by the epicentre, by about a mile, where others I’ve been a bit further away.

The star is the epicentre and the red dot is where we are. Did you hear it as well as feel it, TheVision? Did you feel it, Dr Z, Jem, Gaz, other kinda midlanders?

I didn't feel it but I was playing online at the time so I was somewhat distracted.

My wife felt the earth move however. Not the first time in this house I might add! Giphy "that's what she said":

Friday pub has bunting up with the flags of the 6 Nations. The Welsh dragon has been adjusted so it looks horizontal as the flag's hanging in portrait mode.

I know there are far more important things going on right now but every time I look up from my magazine this bugs me.

A reminder that Giphy is specifically programmed to be... Less that perfect.

If you'd like me to turn the "smartness" up, I can. But you probably wouldn't notice.
