I have needed new jeans for some time; for many weeks I have been moving around with some fear that the hole in the nethers would expand to proportions incompatible with being around other people.

Mission accomplished yesterday, and they're just jeans. Quite nice, no holes where there shouldn't be, confidence restored.

However, I also wandered into a charity shop, looking at the books. While there, I thought wait, what if they have jeans too?

And they did! A lovely clean, dark blue, nicely presented, just the right size. 34. I only mention that because while I do know how to read a label, the dimensions on this label made no sense to my brain, so I discounted them. I only realised that it was an entirely truthful label when I tried them on later:

34:25 jeans.

They are the wrong trousers.

They are jeans for the gentleman who prefers a shorter leg.

These are all good suggestions. I have started by not just putting them in the first charity collection box I saw, so rest assured you've had an effect. They do fit very nicely, so if nothing else I'll be laughing when it's next really hot.

I doubt I checked, now you ask. They were in that section, and they'd labelled the rest right. But now I wonder if I missed the "Hobbit and Jort conversion" sign.

Is the fly right over left, or left over right? Because they could be womens cropped jeans.

Tablet.

Stuck a micro SD card into it, and now I can play all my music directly through my stereo, alongside BBC Sounds and whatever else takes my fancy. I've been after a way to do this for ages, and at one point had grand plans based around a Raspberry Pi but never persisted with that.

Much as I love the physicality of CDs, having all of my collection at the touch of a button is so much easier.

3/4 size Jazz Master for BigOne's birthday. It's absolutely lovely, and now I want a grown up version.

Mini Fop has the exact same, even the colour. It's great.

I was tempted to get a full size version for myself when it was my 40th, but decided to get a PRS instead. Mini Fop will be inheriting my old Danelectro when she's big enough, which would mean we would no longer have been the Travelling Jazzmasters.

I am dipping my toe into making good coffee.

I got a grinder and this. I am still thinking about a coffee machine but the choice is too vast.
