Have I missed something huge where we can remodel shops, etc?

Nope, it's just I have a little walled off area around each shop that I want to *ahem* tailor to the property. So Abel Sisters will have a little yard with a sewing machine and mannequins outside etc with hopefully a quaint woodsy vibe.

I have plenty of space to develop on, but am currently short of ideas. I might have to go island-hopping again as it's due for an overhaul. .

I did go overboard with Halloween stuff (in contrast to my real life persona, who rates it as one of the three loathsome festivals) and will probably go to town with the Christmassy stuff when the snow starts falling.

Delightfully, Sable has started talking to me.

If anyone needs anything please shout!
Im loving the return of mushrooms, they are so cute!!
and I know it's way early but I've replaced a load of round trees with triangle trees in hopes of christmas decorations :D

Just tried to launch AC and it prompted to download a big update, which got me confused because I thought it was due tomorrow, so I checked twitter and it mentions early release?? Don't know if the new stuff is playable early (still downloading) but woohoo!

OMG Miki, thank you so much!! I love it so much.

And I’m glad about the DLC. Because now there’s even more to look forwards to tomorrow.

Happy for the best part about the update (FINALLY I can paint my picket fence white!)

LOVE Blathers photobomb, Meems! Also love yer little craft corner.

Ooh, lunchtime! Glad I brought my Switch to the office! Now to spend a happy hour in update-land. I'll be sure to do my island chores first before the sweet desert of juicy update fun, though. Thing I'm most looking forward to? Pro-Camera app, natch! :D

Kapp'n sang a song about boats made out of cucumbers and I was very happy. I have found Brewster but alas due to a density of flora I couldn't get as good a photo as Meem's. Got the photo app and its everything I wanted, despite not being able to turn around. Reckon I'm going to take this update slowly and savour everything. :)

I assume Leif is the guy to see for veg? Is anyone lucky enough to have him visit today?

I’ve paid off one Lloid (to get Reece and Cyrus) but may go for the Leif one next.

I love the museum posters! Yes def unlock Leif
unfortunately you can only unlock one spot at Harvs a day, a second player can't unlock a second one either, but the second player can take their own Kappn trip and I've heard that there is sometimes veg growing on a Kappn island that you can dig up!

You can pan left and right by degrees, but it’s a different control to up and down. It’ll take some getting used to. I had to chop down a couple of trees to get the pictures I ended up with.

That was a nice early surprise.. and having on another day than the dlc is nicer for discovery too... great to find browser...

Just a bit sad that I knew I first donate to Leif, but still this to sahara... I guess waiting a day more to grow stuff I can wait for..

I might hold off on the DLC for the moment to the more fully enjoy the free update, and to complete my designs for the island without distraction. It certainly is a must-buy though!

I have also not touched the DLC yet, I'm trying to take it easy and potter around
the storage upgrades are pricey but I very happy with them because I had stuff in steves storage and it's annoying to have to change users etc so I've put everything in my own storage now
does anyone need/want anything? Happy to lob a potato at peeps (ie send veg) I think they work exactly like the pumpkins so the veg should be plantable and the plant stay and watering makes 1-2-3 per plant

Think I'm okay Miki, I'm actually using my farm fields to grow the missing fruit trees from the fruits Meems kindly provided, before transplanting them to the regimented rows of my new orchard. So no room for veg just yet. I've just visited Harv's island and have cought up the bells for Cyrus and his customising trailer, as I want to fiddle with the gazebo I've just bought.

I've also just added my ninth incline, and I'm really happy with my island flow. Other than two decorative entrance bridges I think my island has its infrastructure in place now. Tomorrow Brewster's cafe opens - can't wait!
