It is bit of a luxury, but, not having to get out of the car to open the garage door is pretty sweet.

In other purchasing news, I bought an LED security floodlight called something ridiculous like the 'Avenger II'. It was the cheapest the local DIY shop had.

Yep, I did ours before I went away for a week and came back to an overgrown mess.

We’ve not cut our lawns for over a year now, the guinea pigs have it chomped! Ziggy is pissing fire onto it though, thought it was only female dogs that burnt grass?

What's that you're thinking? No, I'm not in the wrong thread although this could be a cross over

It's a bin, full of firewood already cut to a good size. Convenient, as I don't need to find a dry spot in the shed, and the man delivered it right up to the gate.

It's not the cheapest way to get firewood, but I didn't want to buy a whole trailer load just yet, as I'm not sure how often we'll use the fire.

It's a great way to set fire to bins.

I've bought a length of extra door seal to cut down the road noise and make the doors sound better when I shut them on the van I haven't got yet.

I got one of these projectors.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1

MrsPaz had a discount code from somewhere so I managed to get it for £50, which feels like a bargain. It's actually pretty good. Comes in a nice carry case, built in speakers are good enough for garden movie night. It has a tripod mount on the bottom and can power a chromecast from its USB port. Me likey.

Yeah, that does look good. Might get one of those for the garage conversion that isn't finished.

A few caveats. It's not daylight bright, it's visible in a bright environment, but not going to compete with sunlight, obv. There's no zoom on the lens, so you can only enlarge and shrink the image by moving the projector itself. That's all I've noticed though.

I bought an XP-Pen Deco 3 a while back that gets used as my main input device (and I love it) but I've just seen The Daddy version drop £40 and I just so happened to have the 'spare' cash for this so I treated myself. The larger work area is great but the main pull was the jog wheel and touch pad on this one.

Dead right. I'm running short on supplies. The little gannets have got through nearly 12.6 kilos of suet pellets in two weeks, and I needed meal worms too.

I've only seen big tubs of worms at Pets at Home, but £23.99 for 1.5kg is still a lot. Their "premium" pellets are £12.49 for 3 kg, but I just got 12.6kg from Home Bargains four £7.99, but they don't always have them in stock. Not surprising. At that price, they fly off the shelves.

I bought another tank kit because I hardly have any models to make and it was cheap.

Will probably make it Mech-y rather than as it comes.

After putting the first 'car needs a jump start' morning down to someone leaving the lights on overnight, the subsequent flat batteries within the week led me to the obvious purchase.

I assume the MF stands for motherfucker, I mean what else could it be?

A second monitor arm.

Means I have more desk space.

Work are providing a new docking station so should get a lot more room

I just buy cheap supermarket own brand tabs and don’t worry about what voodoo is in them. I also have a teaspoon of honey every day, which I started doing years ago when someone claimed that it could help with hay fever.

The spin off from this appears to be that when I get a cold, it’s usually very mild and is gone within a couple of days, with no cough hanging on for weeks afterwards, which I always suffered from previously. I’ve convinced myself that it’s the honey that has had this effect.

And a doohickie for reading codes and changing things in our cars now they're out of warranty (@grim... The forum said something about IFD size when I added that one, I didn't think it'd worked)

I get the message about IFD size quite often, usually after I’ve posted a screenshot, but the picture usually posts anyway.

It's SPF 50 but mainly you get it wet and evaporative cooling keeps the doggo cool.

The last few sunny days were like this one and she was panting and going really slow. With this on she just had her mouth open a touch and was her usual exploring, over-excitable, bit-too-pulley self. Got home, took it off and *then* she started tongue-out-panting. Seems to work!

It's one of these https://ruffwear.co.uk/collections/dog-apparel/products/swamp-cooler-dog-cooling-vest, I got it from https://www.mountaindog.uk/products/ruffwear-swamp-cooler-cooling-vest at the same time as a second rugfwear front harness so one can go in the wash - the cooler is designed to put the harness hole in the right place for a couple of their harnesses including that I one.

Really good stuff and that site prices well if you spend enough. We paid extra for faster delivery which they didn't meet - but before I got round to complaining they refunded that, sent it out next day and wrote an apology on the packing slip. That's good recovery!
