On a Tuesday night? Wankers.

My neighbour likes throwing tools in his van at 6am.

I believe the correct name for one of these is a "sex pond".

Haha, unusually for hot tub owners I'm pretty sure that they're not sex people. They just enjoy drinking in a bubbling cauldron at the bottom of the garden so that all the neighbours get to watch.

I should hope not. Having a window in a hot tub is just asking for trouble.

I'm lunching in Aintree Retail Park today. Looks SCS are not only having a sale, but also a fire drill/alert.

Only two adults on a submarine? Must be a mini.

I dread to think how much we spend on tea bags and milk.

The basement dungeon where we store Zardoz.

I’d go for a swim there!

Would make a nice change from this dungeon.

We're having a "slow" period at work, with very few calls coming in, so we're doing "preventative maintenance" calls in Co Op stores. Most of this consists of cleaning shitty thermal print heads, de-fluffing vents and fans in till base units and servers and generally tidying up. It's only marginally better than sitting in my van at the parts warehouse and waiting for proper calls to be assigned.

You should be using the time to schedule more meetings and delegating tasks to participants to report back on stuff raised at previous meetings.

You know it makes sense.

It's only fluff and dust, which is what you get if your server is under a desk in an office, off a warehouse full of things in cardboard boxes, or under a shop counter where all kinds of stuff is dumped on or around it. Out of sight, out of mind, until a minion like me blows it out our it overheats and crashes .... and then a minion like me is sent to investigate and blow it out.

Mine seems to be alright. I do usually struggle more earlier in the year, though - February, sometimes. Tempting it by sitting outside, too.

Going through this year's Proms schedule and the one on Friday 20th August is charmingly entitled Mystery Prom with "details to be revealed nearer the time".

Hmmm...

Congrats!

Two marriages off the back of that forum, right?

And I think I recall that Rosie hooked up with someone, too.

thank you!
the celebration has unfortunately been a long string of disappointing mishaps, with important things not being delivered or delivered incomplete and so we had set our hopes on a nice dinner, delivered from our favourite restaurant
but as I went to order from them it turned out they no longer deliver, and then our second favourite also stopped delivering
so I had a big cry and am telling myself it's about the years, not the day, but it's still a bit fragile
for comedic effect, what WAS delivered wad a new toilet mat, so my lovely husband got a toilet mat for our 15th anniversary present   ;)
you gotta laugh right

Oh, I’m sorry that the meal didn’t work out. Completely understandable to feel upset when the world has turned do that you can’t make the plans you want to and then the plans you do make don’t work out. You have each other to comfort each other, and I guess that’s what it is all about, even in disappointment. Also, yay! Toilet mat!

Today I am luncheoning near the charming Marie Louise Gardens in Didsbury.

I'm in the third van in two weeks. I reversed my company van into the corner if the Co Op in Macclesfield about three weeks ago. It went in for repair last Wednesday, so I had a Vauxhall Combo hire van in the interim. Driving back from Rastrick on the M62 yesterday a stone hit the windscreen and a crack developed in the centre at the top and kept growing. I didn't like the damn thing anyway. No air con, no reversing sensors, no lumbar adjustment in the seats and a radio that randomly changed channel when I altered the volume. No cruise control, no radio controls in the steering wheel and it was a hell of a squash getting all my van stock into it, as it's considerably smaller than the Citroen.

Bit of a saga getting through to Europcar to get it changed when First Assist said it might take 24 hours to replace the windscreen, as it would require two technicians, one to fit the screen and the other to calibrate it for a non-existant camera.

So, they had a replacement for me in Trafford Park this morning. It's a Nissan NV250 and although it has reversing sensors and air con, I still hate it. The USB charging port is under the hand brake lever, so ive got four cables shaking out of it so they don't snag when I apply the brake. The in cab storage is woefully inadequate.

On the plus side, I'm getting to be a dab hand at moving my stock from van to van.

I just spoke with an old business acquaintance who has an radio show talking all about photography. He asked me if I wanted to be on but I told him I don't do photos, only videos... He didn't seem deterred by this so the long and short of it is that I'm recording it on Monday at 12:30.

I initially read that as "an radio show talking all about pornography" and it was a rollercoaster for the rest of the post, let me tell you.
