I bought a paddling pool! And some school shorts and socks. Yay! Except I managed to get them delivered to the old flat. And I ordered the school shorts in the wrong colour. And possibly the wrong size as I’ve just remembered he takes a size smaller.

Reminds of this place - https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restauran ... gland.html

I spent many a Saturday in here as a child. With all the wonderful drinks.

D&B and sarsaparilla remind me of home..

Yes. From a town called Rawtenstall, in the Rossendale Valley, just near Accrington.

I love my 501s. There is a shop that sells 'vintage' jeans. I get most of my 501s from there.

I’ve only worn 501s for years now. As a kid and young adult they were so aspirational and unaffordable that when I could afford them I just stuck, despite the fact that on the jeans pricing spectrum they’re definitely in the bottom quartile.

Yeah, I moved away from them and now I don't know why I did that. I was having a look at Hebtroco but ASOS 501 was an easier search.

That's what I found with 501s. I found Wranglers were much better for me.

Now that I'm old and don't give two tuppeny turds about brands, I seem to have ended up mostly wearing M&S jeans, but that's partly because Mrs. W usually buys my clobber for me.

And a Playstation game from a charity shop. I wouldn't have bothered normally, but it's still sealed. How about that?

But anyway, one of these would be a no brainer.

I got the B&D one as I already have a drill from the same battery line. If I keep escalating my woodworking at the same speed that I have over the last 2 months though, I might have to upgrade.

I was pretty chuffed at having re-painted the inside of the garage door. But I had to look up what an impact driver is, so I guess I have to hand this in.

I've got that 18v set. It's fucking brilliant.

I also now have a reciprocating saw, circular saw, angle grinder and tyre inflator. I think I want an orbital sander next. Or maybe the chainsaw even though I already have a Bosch one.

A second hand but really good condition trampoline.

The unforgiving placement on the gravel is (probably) temporary. Although I think it's a good way to deter them wrecking the side netting and falling out.

Lady T wants to get rid of all the stones and lay some artificial grass. It's probably a good idea as it'd create a level space for the kids play equipment.

I am glad you are still optimistic - thinking that "hey, kids, if these things happen, you'll really get hurt!" will be a deterrent.

Definitely going with Lady T, there (though if it were the UK I'd be slightly despairing at all the artificial grass that I see around the place - bit different where nature hides venomous things). At some point they might hit the gravel, and you won't take any pleasure in any warnings being right.

haha, I was slightly joking but also, injuries build character (again, slightly joking)

I'm not a massive fan or artificial grass either, but we've got a fair bit of real grass already although it's not especially flat, and even a very slight gradient is quickly revealed when a big-ish trampoline is plonked down on top.

We also bought some second hand monkey bars, but they will need fixing for stability. There's going to be a lot for kids to do in our yard, which will make it even more irritating when they stay inside watching telly all day >:( .
