It's a bit small for chopping. It's just for splitting firewood really

I'm going to assume that that axe weighs a lot more than 550 grams.

Maybe that's the amount of G's it will pull as it's flying through the air towards Mrs DavPaz who is attached to a huge rotating disc surrounded by balloons?

Nope it's a 1lb camp axe. Little bit heavier than a claw hammer

It is. The one I wanted to get initial (out of stock everywhere) had a little connector at the top, to connect a hose. There’s a little inset plaque at the top of this, and when I looked underneath there are three screws to remove to leave what I think is a hose connector, though it’s not mentioned in the instructions at all.

I did see this instrument of torture when I was looking at things, however:

It's so cold without the sun. My weather app checks here and the Pacific Northwest, and often we're the same, or will get the same as them. At the mo they're hitting up to 28 degrees - I had to check it was staying in celcius.

An inflatable stand up paddle board for river fun. It's nice and relaxing paddling up and down, and the board folds up into a backpack for transport. It was surprisingly quick and easy to inflate too.

Local cafe has an app, so I can dial up my bacon sandwich and coffee at the school gates, then grab it from the hatch as I return from the school run. Living in the future is boss.

That looks good I've been having a think about one of those; how portable is it? Could you carry it for 15 minutes (or 35 if the tide is out)?

We searched for one of these last year and they were constantly sold out everywhere with no restock expected until July or August so we ended up getting one with a wooden frame that joined onto the swing set we had. This one looks brilliant though, and more mobile than what we’ve ended up with.

Inflated? Yeah it's pretty light and does have a carry handle in the middle, plus the paddle can be tucked under the elastic bungee cords on the front, so it's easily carried about under one arm. It's 10 foot long and pretty wide so I reckon it'd be a pain to carry for a long time if it was windy as you'd get buffeted about a lot.

I'd say I could carry it for 15 minutes but probably wouldn't want to do 30+

I went the opposite way. I initially wanted a wooden slide/swing combo, but those that I could find all had two swings instead of one, which took up a lot of extra space, and the only single swing versions O could find in stock had other bits joined on or were awkwardly shaped. I wanted a 3m slide simply because Darwin is already five, AND really tall for his age, so I wanted it to still be excitingly slide-y.

We’d been given the wooden swing for Neve’s birthday from her Nana and Pops and it was a single fortunately. We’ve got a small garden so a double would have been far too big! Darwin’s slide looks awesome though, it’s exactly the type we were looking for last year.

They are expensive pasties.

Especially as you can only wear one pair at a time.
