I'm not sure I even saw that one - there are several shorter films on Youtube, too.

Back to work after a week off and my only call has been to assess the damage to a Co Op after a ram raid. Although the counters were shoved about two metres out of position, the only damage was a receipt printer interface that slotted back in, all tills are working and the counter has been pushed back to where it belongs by the shopfitters.

The raiders got away with nowt.

I think it just means it hasn't been read by the recipient yet. :)

Thanks.

Seems a bit odd, but never mind.

When items are in my Outbox on my work email account I get a message to say it failed to send the message, usually because I have no internet connection, temporarily.

Yeah, it stays in your outbox until its read by any of its recipients. Not because its failed to send.

It's at the point its received that you can no longer edit/delete it.

I'll try to remember that for the next time I send a PM. Going off my PM history, that'll be in about two years.

I was looking for a different way on to the Moors, following a promising route. Then I ran into this unruly lot, who encouraged me to turn around.

It was far too hot for that unfortunately. I got some odd looks from the local farmers as it was, (and twice heard a couple of gun shots in the distance [grouse/pheasant hunting I suspect, but you never know]) It was probably for the best.

When I took the mileage reading as I arrived at my second call today, what sprang into my head was "City of Nottingham." Any guesses as to why that might be?

It's like the rat thing. You're never more than 46,251 miles away from Nottingham.

I'll give you a clue or two.

It's one of the nerdiest links possible.

The number and the place name refer to the same physical object, but it was withdrawn from service on 30/9/64.

Correct.

In my youth I used to be a train spotter and in my first Ian Allen Combined Train book was a picture of this engine in its fresh maroon livery.

I used to look at it so often and hope that I'd see it in the flesh one day that the number is ingrained in my memory from almost 60 years ago

I never did see it for real.

Although I'm on leave, this is my view from work today.

The house across the road is a DIY project.

What a horrible sterile house. Feels like a hospital ward.

I thought it looked more sci-fi (like a 60s/70s idea of futurism) than hospital but yes, so sterile. Then you get to the last pictures where it obviously got too much so they have a huge shaggy 70s sofa.

Judging by the location, it's either a NUFC footballer, or a Geordie Shore z-lister who thought their fame would last

To me that looked like it’s someone with zero personality pretending they do have personality. So the whole house is plain and then the couch where they take video calls is full colour to fool people into thinking they’re normal. Then when the video call ends they go back to being a robot.
