Send the apes in. They can climb

How much under Zardoth's control are the Might Wonderous Rescue Apes of Death? Will they run into a burning building for him? I'm assuming yes, as they were quite happy to start punching a giant on his instructions.

If the fire is wearing metal armour Shuu could heat it up.

Sorry about the delay getting the NPC stat blocks sorted, I thought I'd prepped enough to be able to share them quickly and give you access to all of the attack and spell details for the NPC you controlled but completely lost visibility of them being behind the DnDBeyond paywall because I've got access.

My intention was that you'd have access via DnDBeyond so you could click on each of the listed abilities or spells and easily see the description. When that didn't work I thought I could give you access to the character in Foundry and you'd be able to see it that way. If you'd had access like that, controlling the spellcasting NPCs would have been much easier because you'd have had easy access to their abilities.

I don't think it mattered as you gave us the 'print outs' anyway.

In future though I'd like all my summoned creatures to have full names each and a back story.

Yeah it wasn’t ideal, but not a game breaker. I had all my spells/cantrips open on different browser tabs and was using a notepad to keep a track of spells used and HP etc.

I still can’t get over the fact that the first fire giant took hits from almost everyone and took multiple rounds to go down, then the second fire giant lost around 50% of his HP in one turn when Ermintrude finally got close enough to hit :DD

Yeah, Ermintrude on a roll is sight to behold!

I really like it when a member of Rummage Inc does their "thing" and it totally pays off. Ermintrude's giant-clonking Action Surge, Myptic's Lighning Bolt, Zardoz and the Charge of the Ape Brigade, etc.

Of course, I also suspect krung might not like being baked, and suggest getting some kind of bag of holding full of water to soak the building, but will see.

Apes go in (or up outside), chuck kids out in bag of holding, Shuu casts feather fall on bag of kids. Fight next wave.

Hmm did anyone ID where the shout for help came from? Did it have an Orcish accent? Could well be a trap.

Also, are the Flying Snake Pikey's helping out here?

We could get a great discount on a fire damaged property too.

No (at least I don't think so), he's just the type of player who decides to play with the 'Contraption of Unknown Purpose' in a strange house...and then proceeds to pass his Constitution check while the Dwarf at the opposite end of the room fails his.

They’re not Terry’s, they’re Ermintrude’s (because they hoard everything)

First proper session of my other campaign has led to some observations:

1.) FantasyGrounds app is a UX nightmare, like it's been designed by some UNIX programmers from the 80s who hate everyone.

2.) People who don't quite know the rules and aren't "gamey" types in general can end up with some bonkers character builds.

3.) Holy cow, I had forgotten how weak and flimsy you are at level one. Two characters got one-hit-killed by some well-rolling snakes.

4.) Playing a slightly obnoxious character is fun.

5.) They're not as awesome as you guys.

There are so many VTTs, I see OwlBear Rodeo has started been recommended a lot in DM groups, I think because it's free and possibly works on ipad which most don't. I'm glad I made the switch to Foundry so early. There are new content announcement multiple times a week and the support in Discord is brilliant.

One of my friends wants to run an all Bard campaign, I think that could be pretty funny.

Early warning - it’s looking likely I’m going to get approval to travel for work w/c 19/04 and I’ll probably be away all week so I won’t be able to run a game that week. Instead, I’ll be sitting in the worst Holiday Inn ever outside Liverpool probably playing Stardew Valley on my Switch.
